Hallmark Channel Greenlights New Series Called Ride
On Monday, Deadline reported that Hallmark has announced that they are making a new, original series called Ride. Ride is a “multigenerational family drama that follows the lives of the Murrays as they struggle to keep their beloved ranch afloat.”
In addition, this is a dramatic prime-time drama about a rodeo dynasty. This original series is from the husband and wife writing team of Rebecca Boss and Chris Masi (Our Kind Of People, Star). In addition, Sherri Cooper-Landsman (Brothers and Sisters, Beauty and the Beast).
Moreover, the story is female-centric. According to Laurie Ferneau, Senior Vice President, Development, Crown Media Family Networks, “We were immediately hooked by the story of the resilient Murray women.”

What Is Hallmark’s New Series Ride About?
Hallmark’s new series Ride takes place in a small town in Colorado. Here is the synopsis that shares more details.
After a tragic loss, each character embarks on an empowering journey of transformation and self-discovery while also uncovering a twisted web of secrets, threatening to tear the family and their small Colorado town apart at the seams. Emotions run high and clashes are common in the complicated Murray clan, but they are a tight-knit group who don’t give up easily. And the three strong women of the family – widowed rodeo queen Missy, matriarch Isabel, and former teen run-away Valeria – resolve to stand strong against all challenges and save their land, come what may.
When Are They Filming Ride?
Firstly, the new Hallmark rodeo dynasty series will start filming this summer. In addition, they are filming in Calgary, Alberta. Therefore, the series should premiere sometime in 2023.
However, Hallmark has not announced the cast.
Who Is Behind Hallmark’s Ride?
Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President, Development, Crown Media Networks shared her excitement. She spoke about the production team behind the new Hallmark series.

The three production companies include Blink49 Studios, Nitelite Entertainment, and Seven24 Films.
Carolyn Newman, Executive Vice President, Global Scripted, and Virginia Rankin, Executive Producers, Blink49 Studios promise romance. “Get ready to be swept up in the epic romance of Ride.”
In addition, Seven24 Films is also producing. Moreover, Jordy Randall and Tom Cox are behind two related series, Wynonna Earp, and Heartland.
Greg Gugliotta, Executive Producer, Nitelite Entertainment expressed his enthusiasm.
We knew that the Murray Ranch would find a home and we’re proud and excited to be part of the venerable Hallmark family in 2023.

The San Diego Union Tribune said the series “Ride” would begin tonight, March 23rd at 9 pm on the Hallmark station which for us is #312 on Direct TV. I went to Guide to record it and only see “Golden Girls” slated to show.
