They grew even more concerned when it became apparent that the TLC star now had a trach. It definitely didn’t look comfortable and knowing Tammy, she probably wasn’t thrilled about it either.
Tammy’s been pretty quiet on social media lately, leading some fans to believe that Season 4 is now filming. Rumor has it that Tammy managed to lose a significant amount of weight in rehab and even qualified for bariatric surgery. So will she be able to get rid of the trach too?

Tammy Slaton’s grand return to TikTok has a few fans puzzled
Reddit users generally have a lot of opinions about the cast of 1000-Lb. Sisters. A recent thread explores Tammy Slaton’s return to TikTok and what this will mean for her future.
She posted a new video and it became immediately apparent that she still has her trach, which confused some fans.
“Why does she have a new TikTok account if her old account has 1 million followers? And why is her tract still in if she lost weight?? My thinking is… if you got the weight off she wouldn’t need it,” one fan wondered.
“Once you are on a trach it is very difficult to get off it,” someone else replied.
If the bariatric surgery rumors are true, Tammy will receive the surgery at some point in June. If she hasn’t had the surgery yet, it would make sense that she still needs the trach.
But as one Reddit user pointed out, it’s incredibly difficult to get off a trach. It might be possible that Tammy will need it for the foreseeable future.
The TLC star may be suffering from a few other health concerns
Many 1000-Lb. Sisters fans will continue to speculate about Tammy’s health. But there probably won’t be any concrete answers unless the show comes back for Season 4. For now, fans will need to be content with internet rumors and speculation.
However, when Tammy did return to TikTok, some fans pointed out that it appears she is balding. Tammy has suffered through a myriad of health issues over the years, so it’s not completely unthinkable that she might be experiencing some side effects like hair loss.
