Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird Threatens Mama June, Sneak Peek
Lauryn Efird is done with Mama June. After letting her back into the family, June once again proved that this was an epic mistake. In a sneak peek of tonight’s episode, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ threatens her mama. Can this family ever get back on track?
Lauryn Efird Is Skeptical About Mama June’s Return
June was MIA this season when Pumpkin’s son Bentley was born. This was a huge deal since she had just been in contact with Pumpkin right before she went into labor. She had been honest with her daughter about her struggles with her toxic boyfriend, Geno Doak. Though they were both supposed to be sober, Geno was not taking his sobriety seriously at all. He would get drunk and then lash out at June to the point where she was truly scared. She wanted to break free from him but was scared to do so as she did not know how he would handle it. June felt it would be best to cut ties when he had a court date. The first time she tried, she could not do it and pumpkin was enraged as she drove all the way to the courthouse in another state.
June finally got the courage to leave and go to a hotel but that meant losing contact with her family and missing Bentley’s birth. After she broke up with Geno, she moved in with Pumpkin and started making big plans. She and Jessica were going to live together and start a new life but everyone was skeptical. Pumpkin’s husband, Josh could not even be around June most times. Soon, June was spending all of her time on the phone with a new man she was claiming to help with staying sober. She soon abandoned her family for this man, Jordan and now it is about to wreak havoc on everyone.
Threatening Mama
Last week on Mama June: Road to Redemption, June and Alana headed to Cali to appear on The Masked Singer. What could have been an amazing bonding experience turned out to be a nightmare. June spent the entire time on the phone with Jordan and sabotaged their performance. When they landed back in Georgia, she sent Alana on her way home by herself so she could go off to Alabama to be with Jordan. She did not care what happened to her teenage daughter or if they had to film. In a preview for this week, Alana is heated and Lauryn Efird is ready to tell mama how she feels.
Pumpkin is talking to June and she blatantly lets her know she laid down the guidelines before they left for Cali. She did not even know if they should travel together with June’s history but she wanted to believe it could get better. Clearly, she was fooled and now she is sending a message that things will never be the same. She had warned her, laid down the law, and the rules were broken. Now, June is off in Alabama living her best life and does not care about the repercussions.
