Does ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ Have A Premiere Date Yet?
Gameshow fans are excited about the upcoming premiere of Celebrity Jeopardy. The spinoff of the original series has been confirmed by the ABC Network and is expected to be similar to other gameshow celebrity spinoffs like Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. People want to know one thing: When will it air?
38 Years Of ‘Jeopardy’ And Counting
The very first episode of Jeopardy aired on September 10, 1984. It is still one of the most-watched gameshows on television today, after 38 years. Long-time host Alex Trebek was the face of the program for 37 of those years until he died in 2020.
For those unfamiliar with the game show, contestants are provided an answer to which they must guess the correct question. Over the years, a few contestants have been able to earn some serious cash. Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer both earned more than $2.2 million competing on the show.
Right now, Mayim Bialik is looking to be the most promising potential host for the show. Ken Jennings, one of the most impressive contestants on the show to date, has also served as a temporary host until the network decides who will take Trebek’s place permanently.

Because Jeopardy has been so popular over the years, there is no surprise that the network is looking to produce a spinoff as they have with Celebrity Family Feud and Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. Last week, both of those programs got renewals and now ABC is sending another your way.
When Will ‘Celebrity Jeopardy’ Be On TV?
Network officials have confirmed that Celebrity Jeopardy is happening and is set to air sometime this fall. It will air from fall 2022 through the 2023 television season. However, no specific premiere date has been set yet. The network also has not found a host for the show, but not to worry.
Craig Erwich, president of Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment, said the network is simply hashing out the details of the announcement. “And we just are not ready yet, but we will be soon,” he said. So, fans can expect to see an official release date for the Jeopardy spinoff soon.

Like the other celebrity gameshow spinoffs, every celeb that appears on Jeopardy will give their winnings to the charity of their choice. There hasn’t been any information provided about which celebrities are expected to appear on the show, but Erwich said that fans can look forward to hearing some news about it soon.
Once the show has a premiere date, viewers will be able to tune in to Celebrity Jeopardy at 8 p.m. on Sundays on ABC. It will also be available to stream with Hulu’s live TV package like the original Jeopardy gameshow. Will you tune in to see the first episode this fall?
