Friday Night Smackdown delivered its go-home show heading into WWE Hell in a Cell. Drew McIntyre called out Roman Reigns, however, he got the Brawling Brutes instead. Madcap Moss made his return to seek revenge on Happy Corbin. Max Dupri revealed when his first stable member would arrive on WWE Smackdown. WWE Smackdown: 3 Must-See Moments
Max Dupri’a promise
LA Knight had been a mainstay in WWE NXT, going as far as challenging for the NXT Title. Those days are behind him now as his new persona of Mx Dupri has arrived on Friday Night Smackdown. In recent weeks, Dupri has appeared on WWE Smackdown with talks of creating a new stable called Maximum Male Models. Dupri promised Pearce that next week he would finally reveal his first member.
Madcap’s transformation
Since Wrestlemania, the friendship between Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin has been on the rocks. Last month on WWE Smackdown, Corbin delivered a brutal beatdown of his former friend, putting him on the shelf for weeks. With Corbin’s mockery at an all-time high, MadCap moss returned to Friday Night Smackdown in a major way. Gone were the goofy outfit and bubbly attitude, and instead was a changed man. Moss walked out of the back of an ambulance with new theme music and plain black wrestling tights. Moss spoke to the WWE Universe and vowed vengeance against Corbin. WWE Offical Adam Pearce heard the call and made a match between the two for later in the evening.
A Challenge for the Clash
Drew’s major challenge
The Bloodline has dominated WWE Smackdown for the better part of two years. With Roman Reigns unifying the WWE Universal Championship, the Usos have done the same on the tag team side. With the Trial Chief absent from Smackdown, Drew McIntyre called out the champion. McIntyre addressed the WWE Universe and issued a challenge to Reigns for a match at Clash at the Castle, the upcoming supershow in the United Kingdom. With Reigns unable to answer, McIntyre joined the New Day in teaming against the Brawling Brutes later in the night.
