‘Sister Wives’ Who Was Kody Brown Protecting?

The last few seasons of Sister Wives featured Kody Brown and his family trying to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. During a conversation with a producer in a resurfaced clip, it became apparent the head honcho of the family was trying to protect someone. Who was Kody Brown protecting by refusing to spill the truth? Sister Wives fans dug into it on Reddit recently.

Who was Kody Brown protecting?

According to Kody Brown, one of his wives had a massive issue with various family members continuing to break COVID protocol. When production asked him to clarify which of his wives complained about the broken protocol, however, Kody refused to answer the question. Kody explained it wasn’t in the best interest of his family for him to point fingers. In fact, he believed it would just cause bigger problems if he called attention to which of his wives complained.

On Reddit, however, fans dissected the Sister Wives thread. Moreover, fans clued Kody into the fact that they weren’t as stupid as he seemed to think. Sister Wives fans firmly believe there is no way Kody would miss an opportunity to point a finger at Meri. And, he wasn’t very keen on protecting Janelle or Christine at the time either. As his favorite wife, fans believe Robyn is the only one he would protect from backlash and ridicule. So, fans believed it was painfully obvious he was talking about Robyn even though he refused to name her name.

Did Robyn just use COVID to her advantage?

Fans have a hard time wrapping their minds around if Robyn was seriously afraid of COVID-19. Namely, because she insists that Kody doesn’t have a head wife and isn’t controlled by anyone. So, she hinted that the COVID rules were more his idea than hers. Sister Wives fans, however, have long believed Robyn was a puppet master behind the scenes pulling Kody’s strings. Likewise, fans think Robyn just used COVID-19 as a way to keep Kody away from the other wives and closer to her. Fans believe this because her recent activities out of the house with Kody suggest she’s not that afraid of COVID as she’s constantly spotted outside of the home without a mask in sight.
