Will Amy King & Jill Dillard Land Their Own Reality TV Series?
Would there be an audience if Amy King and Jill Dillard got their own reality TV show? The “rebellious” Duggar cousin Amy King thinks that it’s entirely possible.
The Duggar family in general is pretty quiet these days following Josh Duggar’s conviction on child pornography charges and it doesn’t seem like TLC will give the family another show anytime soon.
But what about a show that moves away from the Duggar family as a whole and focuses on Amy and Jill instead? Keep reading to see what Amy proposed.
Would Jill Dillard & Amy King make a good duo onscreen?
The Sun had the chance to sit down with Amy Duggar King. When asked if Amy would like to have her own reality TV show, she definitely had a few opinions.
“I would make sure it was real. There are no skeletons in these closets,” Amy told the publication. “I would make it like Kardashians. Not every day is rosy and beautiful. There are days I can’t stand my husband. It’s normal. Then there are days I can’t live without him. That’s normal marriage. People respect and love authenticity. You have to be transparent with people. That’s what I would sign up for. Transparency.”
And of course, she would love her cousin Jill to come on board too. These days, Jill Dillard is living a life of freedom, apart from her parents’ strict rules.
“Heck yeah! Jill let’s go, let’s do it!” Amy told The Sun.
Right now, Jill Dillard is expecting her third child. So it doesn’t seem likely she will be okay with filming another show anytime soon. But there’s always a chance after the baby arrives.
Amy Duggar doesn’t want the extended Duggar family to get another chance on TV
In the interview, the Duggar cousin also revealed that she doesn’t believe that her extended family members should get another shot at a reality TV show. Amy even went as far as to call another revival a “disaster.” After all the issues with Josh, she’s happy that they’re off the air for good.
But Amy is proud that Jill is growing and thriving with her own husband and family.
“I’m so happy for them. It’s such a beautiful thing to see her grow and thrive and find her own style and to see her light up in a whole different new way is awesome to experience with her,” Amy said. “She’s just so sweet. What you see is what you get and that’s what I love about Jill.”
