‘The Family Chantel’ Preview: Pedro Calls Chantel ‘Lazy’ Marriage Over?
The Family Chantel returns next week. It has become quite clear that Pedro and Chantel’s relationship is up in the air. Now, in a new clip, it seems even more apparent that this marriage can’t survive.
The Family Chantel, Broken From The Start?
It was all happiness and love when viewers first met Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno on 90 Day Fiance. They had met when Chantel was visiting the Dominican Republic and sparks flew between the two. Due to this, she continued to return back to visit her love. Soon enough, Pedro took the leap and proposed but her family was skeptical of him. They questioned his motives and if he really love Chantel or just wanted to come to America. Regardless, he moved in with Chantel and they had their two weddings which have become commonplace on 90 Day. They were hopeful the DR wedding could unite their families but it just proved to be a train wreck.
Chantel and Pedro started facing more issues within their marriage when it came to his family. They automatically believed that because he was in America, he should send them stuff. He was financially responsible for their needs and that did not work for Chantel. He also liked going out and having a good time so cheating rumors flew. More so, his sister did not like Chantel so she had no problem keeping these rumors alive. It made for the perfect spinoff. Though they settled into marriage, money became an issue with Chantel becoming a nurse and Pedro figuring out life.
The Beginning Of The End?
Previews for this season have not been promising at all. The couple has not been intimate and they are struggling. Chantel finally graduated from school which is great. However, Pedro believed she was going to be making a lot more as a nurse, forgetting she was new to the field. She had to remind him that she was entry-level and had to work her way up. He ultimately got a job in real estate but they still cannot balance one another out. In the latest clip, Chantel is desperate to feel that Pedro loves her. Instead, he deems her lazy.
Fans chimed in, claiming that the show is scripted and they are over the drama already. Chantel’s brother simply commented: “sigh.” Others who will be tuning in are torn between which family is more dramatic. If anything, the extended family makes up for the back and forth between the couple. Hopefully, they can find their happiness even if it is not together.
