“I haven’t seen a schedule published yet. Do we know when we can expect the newest batch of WATNs?” the original Reddit poster wrote. “Feels like it’s been forever since the regular season ended.”
“I think it’s because of covid. For some weird reason, they don’t show updates on the latest season for two years,” another Reddit user replied. “At the time of season 8, production had to be shut down because of covid for a while.”
This seems like the most logical explanation. Even during the regular My 600-Lb. Life season, there were parts where episodes explained that filming had to stop due to COVID-19 restrictions.
There are several reality and competition shows that are just now getting back on their feet after the pandemic disrupted regular production schedules. Now that the worst of the pandemic seems to be over, fans may get to see new episodes of My 600-Lb. Life: Where Are They Now before long.
Being patient is never easy, but it seems like fans may just have to sit around and wait for the time being.

When new episodes of My 600-Lb. Life: Where Are They Now premiere on TLC, some fans hope that the episode quality will be much better. According to another Reddit thread, episodes of the main show have really gone down hill in quality over the years.
“I’m not sure if it’s limited resources or what, but in the earlier seasons, you’d get that inspirational message from the participant, and you’d see genuine effort and results. Even though a year isn’t a long time, and it’s a big process, you’d see some major changes at least starting,” the Reddit user wrote. “Now, it feels like the majority of episodes are participants who don’t lose any weight, don’t ever quality for the surgery, and in some cases never even weigh in.”

would love to see follow up on the people after the 12 months show ends. hopefully there will be more seasons of “where are the now” !!!!!
Probably the best show on television in my mind. Sometimes very dramatic, very inspiring and even some laughs. Pimple Popper is so boring but My 600LB Life is great!
