Dove Cameron Remembers Costar Cameron Boyce In Beautiful Tribute
Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce tragically passed away in his sleep on July 6, 2019 at the age of 20. If the young star was alive today, he would have turned 23 on May 28. Even though Cameron is no longer around, his former costars still keep his memory alive. Singer and actress Dove Cameron acted alongside Cameron Boyce during the Descendants films.

Dove Cameron pays tribute to Cameron Boyce in a touching social media post
Cameron Boyce had many roles on Disney Channel, but in the last few years of his life, he was more well-known for his role as Carlos in the Descendants films. The film series did continue after his death, though it was never explicitly stated what happened to his character. Instead, the other characters take a moment to remember their friend Carlos, who is no longer around.
Dove Cameron also had a starring role in these films and is sorely missing her friend on his birthday.
“somewhere unnamed , these moments are all still occurring for the first time, for the millionth time, in real time and all at once, just as real as i remember them ‘then’. you are here, still. we feel you, still. i will love you, unchangingly, just like this. happy birthday,” Dove penned a heartfelt Instagram birthday tribute to her former costar.
When he was still alive, Cameron Boyce posted several photos of he and his Descendants castmates messing around on the film set. It’s clear that he and Dove Cameron enjoyed a very playful friendship.
Although the pain of losing Cameron Boyce will probably never completely fade for his friends, it’s great that they choose to honor his memory in such a sweet way.
Other Disney Channel stars paid tribute to Cameron Boyce in the years since his death
Dove Cameron isn’t the only Disney Channel star that’s paid a kind tribute to Cameron Boyce over the years. His Jessie costar Skai Jackson competed on Dancing With The Stars Season 29. During her week four routine, she dedicated her performance to Cameron’s memory.
Skai Jackson performed a foxtrot to John Legend’s “Ordinary People” to honor her late friend. There was hardly a dry eye in the house during the performance.
Cameron Boyce may no longer be around, but his memory definitely lives on in the hearts of his costars and friends.
