This thriller stars Mckenna Grace (Young Sheldon, The Handmaid’s Tale), Michelle Morgan (Heartland, A New Year’s Resolution), Benjamin Ayres (Color My World With Love, Saving Hope), Patty McCormack (The Master, Always Amore), and Ella Dixon (Two Sentence Horror Stories).

Louise Archambault (Be Mine Valentine, Irena’s Vow) is the director. Maxwell Anderson (Meet Joe Black, Ben Hur) wrote the play that this story was based on. Barbara Marshall (Soccer Mom Madam, Girl In The Basement) wrote the script, Mckenna Grace wrote the story, and Ross Burge, also the script.

What Is The Bad Seed Returns About?

According to the Lifetime synopsis, Emma (Grace) is a typical 15-year-old teenager. However, she is far from that.

This sequel takes place several years after the original movie, The Bad Seed. In that movie, Emma’s father (Rob Lowe) is murdered.

Now, Emma is living with her Aunt Angela (Morgan). Moreover, she is now navigating high school. But, Angela’s husband Robert (Ayres) starts to get suspicious. He even suggests that Emma get shipped off to boarding school.

Meanwhile, at school, the new girl seems to know an awful lot about Emma. Emma has a lot of secrets, and she doesn’t want anything revealed.

Now, Emma has to do whatever she must to remove her enemies, no matter the cost!

You don’t want to miss the original movie, The Bad Seed. Lifetime will air it right after The Bad Seed Returns on Monday, May 30, at 10:03 p.m., Eastern. The Bad Seed stars Rob Lowe (9-1-1: Lone Star, Holiday In The Wild), Mckenna Grace, and Patty McCormack.

Rob Lowe directs, stars, and is the executive producer of this movie. He took the original 1956 “psychological horror film,” The Bad Seed, but updated it. Patty McCormick played the daughter in the original movie, and was the youngest actress nominated for an award.

According to the synopsis, David (Lowe) is a single father, who seems to have his entire life in control. However, there is a terrible tragedy at his daughter’s school.

Now, he starts to question his beloved daughter Emma (Grace). Emma seems to be the model student and child. But something nags at David. He even begins to wonder if his daughter had something to do with the horrific situation at the school.

When more things happen, David realizes he must do something to stop her from striking again.
