Carlin Bates’ Husband Evan Stewart Updates Fans From ER: ‘Really Bad Episode’
Bringing Up Bates star Carlin Bates is now in the emergency room once again. She has already visited the ER several times within the past two weeks. Now, her husband, Evan Stewart has revealed that she had a “really bad episode.” Keep reading to get the latest on Carlin’s health scares.
On social media and YouTube, Carlin and Evan have been informing fans about her recent health concerns. For the past couple of weeks, she has been having “episodes,” in which she passes out.
Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart live in Knoxville, Tennessee, but they are currently in Nashville with his family. They have been staying with their in-laws for about a week now.
Though they planned to go back home to Knoxville, they have greatly appreciated some extra hands with their kids, Layla, 2, and Zade, 2 months. Plus, if they go home and Evan returns to work, someone will need to stay with Carlin during the day in case she passes out while alone with the kids.
Right now, they are eager to get some answers. At first, it seemed like it could have something to do with her hemoglobin levels. However, they have since gone back up and she is continuing to pass out.
During Carlin Bates’ multiple trips to the ER, she has had several tests done, which have ruled out some pretty scary diagnoses. Her MRI and other tests came back good. While they are happy to know that it doesn’t seem to be anything major, they would still like to have answers.
Now, they are back in the ER as of Sunday, May 22.

On his Instagram stories around 1 a.m. eastern on the morning of Sunday, May 22, Evan Stewart shared an update. This photo looks more serious than the ones he and Carlin Bates have shared in the past. As his wife was laying on the gurney, Evan snapped a photo of her.
Along with sharing the photo, Evan provided fans with a quick update. He wrote, “Carlin had a really bad episode tonight and was rushed by ambulance to a Nashville hospital! I just got back with her a little while ago. She is doing ok, but we really covert your prayers in hope of finding answers.”
He also asked his followers to pray for Carlin and thanked them for all of their support during this time.
As of 10 a.m. eastern on Sunday morning, Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart haven’t posted another update. But hopefully, they will have some good news to share with fans.
Hopefully, Carlin Bates will get some answers about her health scares soon. Fans are concerned about her, and her husband, Evan Stewart, seems to be freaked out by all of this as well.
