News

Jeopardy! champ Ryan Long and Mayim Bialik exchanged an NSFW moment. Fans are shocked by the moment that took place on daytime television. Ryan just got his fifth straight win on Thursday, May 19. Mayim has taken over the podium ever since Ken Jennings announced that he was taking a break from the show.

Earlier this month, he took to Twitter to announce to fans that he will be handing the keys back to Mayim. While some fans were upset over the news, others are curious to see how Mayim will handle these summertime episodes. Something shocking happened in the previous one.

Jeopardy! fans appalled over this moment

The normally buttoned-up Mayim Bialik shocked Jeopardy! fans with this NSFW moment. Ryan Long is a rideshare driver from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. So far, he’s earned $105,000. In Thursday’s episode, viewers were shocked over the NSFW exchange that “threw them off for a few minutes.”

The category during the regular Jeopardy! round was titled, “The Drugs of Humanity.”

Ryan got to pick one. He told Mayim, “Let’s do drugs for $1,000.” Mayim got the giggles once again. Another contestant also got a good chuckle out of Ryan’s NSFW exchange with Mayim. Jeopardy! fans went crazy over this unlikely moment.

  • “‘Let’s do drugs for a thousand’ heard on #Jeopardy (man that threw me off for a few minutes).”
  • “Do drugs what huh?”
  • “#Jeopardy writers: ‘hur hur we got someone to say ‘Let’s Do Drugs’ on TV.'”
  • “My favorite line this week.”

This is not something you normally hear on the quiz show. Some Jeopardy! fans think the producers “planted” the NSFW phrase on purpose so it came off the wrong way. Others weren’t as amused. Regardless, Ryan won his fifth straight game and now has the current longest streak on the show.

He beat out Canadian tutor Mattea Roach, who had a 23-game streak with $560,000. Ryan took on a different strategy. Just a few nights ago, he wagered $8,000 and won during the “Daily Double.” He’s been making big bets on the “Daily Double” rounds, which has helped pad his winnings.

Ryan Long gives the serious show some personality

Normally, most Jeopardy! contestants aren’t known for their personality. They come off as reserved and awkward. However, Mattea Roach and Ryan Long have been some of the most charismatic contestants to appear on the game show. The Philly native has also shared some memorable Q&A stories.

For example, he admitted that he worked on an “Amish farm” in high school. He also noted that people will think he’s “weird with all these stories.” In another episode, Ryan admitted that he fostered “four baby kittens” and “bottle-fed them.” Jeopardy! fans have fallen in love with Ryan and his wholesome stories.

  1. Ryan Long didn’t beat Mattea Roach. He never played Mattea. There were three winners between Mattea’s last game and Ryan’s first game.
