Kelly Clarkson is leaving The Voice. At least for now. NBC announced the group of coaches for Season 22. Fans found out their favorite singer will not be returning. Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and John Legend will coach the new crop of contestants. Camila Cabello was announced as the new coach.
Gwen returned to the red swiveling chair after she took a hiatus. Camila is replacing Ariana Grande, who made her coaching debut in Season 21. Kelly coached eight seasons of The Voice and won four times, including the last season. So, her break is well-deserved. Yet, fans want to know why she’s leaving the show.

The Voice Season 22 coaches announced
NBC made the official announcement with a special video on Instagram. The clip shows Blake, Gwen, and John singing “Grace Kelly” by Mika. Camila Cabello shows up at the end. Check out the video for yourself here.
The caption reads: “Introducing your Voice Coachees. #TheVoice returns this fall with @blakeshelton, @johnlegend, @gwenstefani, and @camila_cabello.”

As you can see, the fans are devastated. They’re demanding answers on the American Idol alum’s disappearance. Even though Kelly Clarkson won’t be on this season, fans will witness Camila’s coaching skills in the singing competition. The Cuban-born singer is perfect since she rose to fame after she finished in third place on X Factor as part of the girl group Fifth Harmony.
Why Kelly Clarkson is leaving The Voice?
Kelly Clarkson already hinted that she’s saying no to a lot of projects this summer. The singer wants to take a break with her family. Earlier this month, she spoke to Elvis Duran about her summer plans. It came out around the same time as The Voice Season 22 news.
“I literally said ‘no’ to everything this summer,” Kelly Clarkson said on the Elvis Duran Show. “I will not do anything this summer. Since I was 16 years old, I haven’t had a summer off. This is my first summer off. I am taking time.”

I understand Kelly needs a break, I often wonder why stars have children that they don’t have time to spend with them. I absolutely adore Kelly on the voice and on her show, Kelly Clarkson show. She well deserves time off. However, adding Gwen Stefani to the voice is a horrible replacement. It has completely ruined the thrill of the voice. Blake and Gwen are sickening with their little flirts. And with the two being married, I think the pillow talk of the contestants cannot get the credit they deserve, because I believe either Blake or Gwen alters each other’s contestants which is not fair. And no one can prove this and they sure are not going to admit it. I am done watching and recording the voice, because the judges are not white they used to be. It’s so very sad, I used to look forward to new seasons, but not anymore.😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
