If you’re a Duggar fan, you may know that they had several standalone specials before they got their own series. TLC gave the family multiple shows, including 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On. On the shows, fans were a part of some of the most intimate parts of the family’s lives, from births to weddings and everything in between.

Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar blasted online for privacy concerns.

In a new post on the Duggar Bates Confessions Instagram page, a fan voiced their concerns for the children. They wrote, “I feel sorry for the Duggars (apart from the obvious) cause Michelle and JB took away their privacy from a very young age and used them for money cause they knew people would want to see how a very large family with one stay at home parent worked.”

In the comments section, other fans are agreeing that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar robbed their kids of their privacy. And now, to this day, many of the kids are still in the public eye.

One Instagram user says, “They’ve definitely had their privacy taken away at a young age without consent and its great some of them are now keeping private.”

For example, Josiah and Lauren Duggar no longer post on social media. Others share more sporadically. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar still seem to be very much in the public eye, however.

Of course, not all fans see an issue with this. Some believe that it was a wise way for the Duggars to pay the bills and avoid working traditional jobs. Others enjoyed watching the shows and wish that they were still on TV.
