Washington Allen Stone ends up in fifth place
Despite winning the jury vote, Washington Allen Stone ended up in fifth place in the American Song Contest. He ended up with a score of 254 points, which put him in that spot. The American Song Contest finalist did not perform live on the show’s finale due to personal issues.
Fans are wondering if his performance made an impact. Allen Stone impressed the audience with his vibrato skills. The Washington state singer even got hosts Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg dancing along. Most of the fans on social media thought his performance brought the house down.
However, Allen Stone’s absence from the grand finale was noticeable. At the start of the show, it was revealed that he taped his performance due to personal issues. He spoke out about his mother’s cancer diagnosis before performing. Allen Stone’s mom has battled cancer for two years.
He didn’t want to go to the finale on the account of his mother. He told her that he didn’t need to attend the finale of American Song Contest if she needed him. His mom told him to “go and share your music.” Allen Stone agreed to pre-record his performance, where he sang his original song “A Bit of Both” which got everyone tapping their toes.

Dude killed every heat.” Another added, “Washington got robbed. @allenstone you are the true winner in my heart.”
Fans have been calling Allen Stone the “King of Soul.” Others wondered if his pre-recorded performance impacted voting. Despite the setback, most viewers were in awe of his pre-recorded set and his performance. At the same time, fans noted that AleXa deserved her win.
