On a special day, Jill Dillard left her mother, Michelle Duggar, out to dry. The former Counting On stars didn’t acknowledge each other despite it being a pretty big day. Stick around to get all of the details about how this went down and what it might mean.
If you were on social media on Sunday, May 8, your Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds were likely filled with all kinds of posts about Mother’s Day. Many of your favorite TLC stars might have posted in honor of their moms, too.
Despite it being a very special day to honor mothers everywhere, it looks like Jill Dillard might have completely snubbed her mom, Michelle.
Jill Dillard snubs her mother, Michelle Duggar, on a special holiday.
On Instagram on Sunday, Jill didn’t share a post about herself as a mother or about her own mother. For years, fans have heard about the relationship that Jill has with her parents, though no one has all of the behind-the-scenes details. From what has gone public, it looks like there is some distance between the daughter and her parents.
So, fans are always interested to see if Jill Dillard and her parents acknowledge each other on social media or post about birthdays and other big events.
While Jill didn’t post about her mom, she was active online. She shared a post from her sister-in-law, Deena Dillard. Deena is married to Derick’s brother, Dan.
In the past, when members of the family failed to wish their siblings or parents “happy birthday,” fans have pointed out that they may not have been on social media that day.
However, it’s clear to see that Jill Dillard was active on Instagram on Mother’s Day and that she still failed to post about her mom. If she wanted to share something about her mom for Mother’s Day, it looks like she had the opportunity to when she reshared Deena’s post.
In her caption, Deena dedicated a heartfelt message to Jill. She ended the post, writing, “We are so excited to meet their new little one! Happy Mother’s Day Aunt Jill!”
