Duggar Family Reveals A Major Change On Social Media
The Duggar family appears to be making a major change. So, they shared it with fans this weekend on social media. What are Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar doing differently now?

On Saturday, May 7, the Duggar family shared a rare social media post. They have been laying low since Josh was arrested, likely due to the negative comments they were receiving. They have been posting very irregularly. Of course, fans don’t blame them.
When they do decide to post, they typically restrict their comments sections. So, only select people can comment on their posts. This helps to keep negative comments off of their page. Several of their adult children have done this on social media, too.
This weekend, though, they shared a post about their newest grandchild, Truett Oliver. He’s the son of Jedidiah and Katey Duggar.
When sharing the post, they did not restrict their comments as they have been doing for months. Instead, they allowed fans’ comments to come through, regardless of what they are saying.
You can see in the photo below what it looks like when comments are restricted. This screenshot is from Anna Duggar’s Instagram post about the birth of her daughter six months ago. There is no text box for fans to type in. Instead, there’s a little note that “comments on this post have been limited.”
As you can see, Anna received very few comments on this post as a result, and they were only from friends and family members.
The screenshot below is of the Duggar family’s comments section on their most recent post. As you can see, there is no mention of the comments being limited. The comments they have received are from fans, rather than just their family members.
Did this adjustment go over well with fans?
So far, most of the comments on Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s post appear to be positive, which is surprising. They often receive negative comments about Josh’s crimes, the way they live their lives, and more. Despite no longer limiting comments on their posts, fans are keeping things civil.
There could be another way that the Duggar family is moderating comments and keeping the negative ones away. But it looks like the comments are open once again.
There are a handful of negative fans, talking about how many children the Duggars have and how the women always seem to be pregnant. But most of the comments are positive and about the new arrival.
