‘The Circle’ Season 4 Starts With A Massive Celebrity Reveal

Netflix, News, Reality TV, Spoilers

The Circle is finally back. The first four episodes of Season 4 recently went up on Netflix. The show is keeping to the formula we all know and love while continuing to switch it up. And, frankly, that switching it up is just as much a part of the formula at this point as anything else. They love throwing wrenches into what fans expect from the show, and this season is no different. The reveal at the end of Episode 1 has all of the ’90s fans watching going absolutely wild.

Spicy Circle

At the tail-end of the very first episode, we get the reveal that a pair of very special celebrities are competing in this season. Two of The Spice Girls. Yes, you read correctly. Scary Spice (Mel B) and Baby Spice (Emma Bunton) are both on The Circle Season 4. They’re not full contestants, per se. Rather, they’re playing a catfish profile with the intention of fooling the other players.

They’re not competing for money, though. Because they’re the Spice Girls. They really don’t need money. Their actual objective is to attempt to fool all of the other players into thinking that they’re not the Spice Girls. A revelation is made to the players that one of the profiles they’re playing with is controlled by the two ’90s sensations. The players have to deduce who it is. What they don’t know is that they get a bonus to the $100,000 grand prize of the game if they manage to figure out who it is. So Mel and Emma are playing as hard and as strategically as they can to try and help these players win more money at the end. How kind of them.

It’s interesting to see The Spice Girls on the American version of The Circle. Considering they’re a British group and the show originates in Great Britain, you would think they’d get an invite to that version of the show. But here they are, and it’s unlikely that any American Spice Girls fans are complaining about it.

The Circle Season 4

The Circle began in the United Kingdom and the success of the show quickly transferred to the United States. It’s had three very successful seasons on Netflix thus far. It’s become the most popular reality competition on the platform right next to Love Is Blind and Too Hot To Handle. Hopefully, this season will continue the winning streak for The Circle so we can keep seeing new seasons of the show year after year.

More episodes of The Circle Season 4 are coming next Wednesday.
