WWE News: NXT Talent Released, Wrestlemania Backlash Card
WWE Wrestlemania Backlash is just over a week away, therefore, the card for the show is nearly complete. With Wrestlemania in the rearview mirror, the dreaded WWE releases have been announced as NXT talent is targeted. Full results and ratings are also available for both NXT Level-Up and WWE Main Event. Here is the WWE News rundown headed into the weekend.
WWE News: NXT Releases
With a bloated roster, WWE is looking to trim the fat and make room for younger stars to get a chance. The WWE News dominating the day includes several talents released from the company. Fightful Select reports that NXT talents have been released, including Dexter Lumis, Malcolm Bivens, Harland, and Dakota Kai. Several of the talents will simply not be re-signing with the company, with Bevins declining a new deal. The reaction from fans across social media was predictable, as the backlash against the WWE grew once the news dropped.

Wrestlemania Backlash Updated Card:
WWE Wrestlemania Backlash 2022 will be held on May 8, 2022, at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. Another highlight match includes a Wrestlemania rematch between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. AJ Styles is looking for revenge against Edge as they do battle on the show. Bobby Lashley will clash with Omos, though MVP will be at ringside. The Bloodline faceoff against RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre in an epic 6-man tag. The event is streaming across NBC Peacock in the US, and the WWE Network internationally.
