‘DWTS’: Sasha Farber Mourns The Death Of A Close Family Member
Dancing With The Stars cast and crew members are navigating a lot of difficult feelings right now. After 16 years on ABC, the popular dance show is moving platforms to Disney+. And it’s putting a lot of the pro dancers in limbo. But Sasha Farber is dealing with another difficult situation right now.
Sadly, the Australian pro dancer revealed that one of his beloved family members passed away. Keep reading to see what TV Shows Ace learned.
Sasha Farber announces the loss of his close family member and friend
Sasha Farber and his wife Emma Slater are core parts of the Dancing With The Stars family. Together, the couple achieved many milestones in recent years. They even earned United States citizenship together.
But today, the couple is grieving. On Instagram last night, Sasha announced that he lost his cousin. The two were very close.
“This hurts beyond words, and never in a million years did I think I would be writing a post like this about my little cousin,” the DWTS pro began his post. “Andrew and I came to Australia as little kids, and you could say we where partners in crime. Everywhere he went I went, & everywhere I went he went. I remember one day Andrew called me to come outside, He picked me up and he said I have a surprise for you, we drove to a private airport, where I soon realized I was going to be his first passenger on a 4 seater plane. He was so excited I’ll never forget it.”
Sasha went on to talk about how much his cousin Andrew loved planes and how much he lit up a room.
“I love you Andrew and I will always cherish our times together R.I.P 💔and we will laugh and joke again I promise, LOVE YOU MY DEAR COUSIN,” he concluded.
Sasha doesn’t say what happened to his cousin. But it appears that he passed away very young.
Dancing With The Stars castmates offer their condolences
Many of Sasha Farber’s Dancing With The Stars castmates offered their support during this difficult season of life.
“Heart broken for you my friend. Andrew truly was the life of the party and the bright light in every room he entered. He will forever be in your heart 💔,” wrote Peta Murgatroyd.
And of course, there were plenty of kind words from Sasha’s fans too.
