Could Josh Duggar’s upcoming sentencing influence the way his wife, Anna, educates their kids? New details have surfaced, which may further change Anna’s life, as well as the lives of her children.

If you’re a Duggar fan, you probably know that Michelle homeschooled all 19 of her children. So, most of her own children are doing the same so far. Jill and Derick Dillard have enrolled their sons in public school, and some of the other Duggar grandchildren aren’t school-aged just yet, so we don’t know what type of education they will have.

Anna is one of the daughters-in-law who is educating her children at home. She and Josh have 7 children, Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Meredith, Mason, Maryella, and Madyson. They range in age from 12 years to six months.

After Josh Duggar was arrested in the spring of 2021 and found unanimously guilty on child pornography charges in December of 2021, he’s now facing prison time. He will be sentenced on May 25. While this has shaken up his family in many ways, there may be yet another unexpected change coming.

Josh Duggar’s sentencing could change Anna’s homeschooling plans.

The Coalition for Responsible Home Education notes that, in Arkansas and one other state, homeschooling isn’t allowed in homes with s*x offenders, like Josh Duggar.

It’s unclear how long Josh will be spending behind bars because he has not yet been sentenced. But he could be out of jail before all of his kids are grown and have completed their educations. At this point, Anna would need to find another way to give her kids an education.

Some experts have estimated that Josh will be behind bars for around 10 years, though this isn’t official yet. If he gets out in 10 years, at that point, Josh and Anna would have four minors in their home who would still be in school. So, they would no longer be able to be homeschooled.

She can still homeschool throughout the duration of Josh Duggar’s sentence. But when he’s out, their homeschooling journey will come to an end.

If Anna would like to continue homeschooling her kids, she would have to leave her husband. So far, nothing has made her stop supporting him, though, despite fans encouraging her to leave him and protect the kids.

So, does it surprise you that Josh Duggar’s upcoming sentencing may change Anna’s plans for her kids’ education? What do you expect to happen to the kids’ education after that? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below. And for more Duggar family news, come back to TV Shows Ace
