Hallmark’s Romance To The Rescue features a pooch with a perchance for matchmaking.
This movie stars Andrea Brooks (The Wedding Fix, When Calls The Heart), Marcus Rosner (UnReal, Christmas With A Crown), Nathan Witte (Cut, Color, Murder, Superman & Lois), Benjamin Charles Watson (Designated Survivor, Warehouse 13), Kamantha Naidoo (iZombie, Residents Of Arcadia), Melanie Rees (A Slice Of Romance, A Mother’s Fury) and Ashley Ross (Love, Fashion, Repeat, The Attraction Test).
Heather Hawthorn-Doyle (A Little Daytime Drama, Advice To Love By) directed Romance To The Rescue. Barbara Kymlicka (Stolen By Their Father, Don’t Forget I Love You) wrote the script.

What Is Hallmark’s Romance To The Rescue About?
According to the Hallmark synopsis, Kyra (Brooks) is goal-oriented in all aspects of her life, from professional to personal.
However, when she meets Trevor (Witte), the new manager at the grocery store where Kyra works, he seems to check off all the boxes when it comes to what she’s looking for in love. When her well-meaning co-worker and friend Mark (Watson) tells dog-loving Trevor that Kyra has an agility-trained dog, she plays along.
Things get a little dicey when Trevor tells her he can’t wait to see Kyra enter her dog in the upcoming agility contest the store is sponsoring. Therefore, Kyra is faced with a canine quandary.
Acting quickly, Kyra adopts an adorable dog, Sam (Nova), from a local shelter. Yet, she soon realizes she doesn’t know the first thing about training a dog.
It takes Kevin (Rosner), the head of the shelter, some convincing to help her. He now must get Sam competition-ready, and Kyra prepared to lead the commands.
That means, lots of time together. It does not take Sam long to be an agility pro, but, the flames of the romance may be over once Kevin learns why Kyra adopted this rescue in the first place!

When Can You Watch Hallmark’s Romance To The Rescue?
The premiere of Hallmark’s Romance To The Rescue is on Saturday, May 21, at 8 p.m., Eastern. Encore showings include Sunday, May 22, at 2 p.m., and Thursday, May 26, at 8 p.m., all times Eastern.
When Calls The Heart’s Andrea Brooks In Several 2022 Romcoms
Andrea Brooks is used to juggling two main roles with her role on Hallmark’s WCTH, and on Supergirl. She filmed 10 episodes for the former, and 20 for the latter. That did not leave her with a lot of time to do anything else.
However, thanks to the worldwide pandemic and lockdown, she was actually to film three romcoms. She told the Hallmarkies podcast that this was early in the day of return to filming after the initial lockdown. Therefore, everything was a little bit new with regulations.
Luckily, she was able to film “back-to-back-to-back” three movies before heading over to film When Calls The Heart Season 8.
The Wedding Fix will air again on UPtv on Monday, June 13, at 1 a.m., and Romance To The Rescue, which premieres on Hallmark on May 21, at 8 p.m., all times Eastern.
Currently, there is no information on the third movie, Fishing For Love. That movie should be picked up sometime this year, and we will report on that premiere!
