What exactly is Sister Wives star Janelle Brown doing in Portugal? According to the TLC star’s Instagram page, she’s having the time of her life on a vacation right now.

Janelle Brown manages to win a beautiful trip of a lifetime
Since Christine Brown left the family, Janelle has been a bit more independent from Kody Brown. Many Sister Wives fans believed she might follow in Christine’s footsteps, but that doesn’t seem so likely right now.
But even so, Janelle Brown has no problem stretching her wings and exploring. Her exciting trip to Portugal helps prove that.
“LISBON, PORTUGAL!” the TLC star captioned her Instagram video. “First international trip for me since 1987 – 1988. I qualified for an all expense paid trip with Plexus in a contest last year and here we are 😀 Stay tuned for lots of photos 😍😀”
Her video spans over the city, allowing followers to take in the beautiful skyline. In the comments, many fans wished Janelle well and offered suggestions for sightseeing opportunities.

Fans are happy to see the Sister Wives star embark on her own path
Sister Wives fans really appreciate that Janelle Brown is becoming more of her own person. It’s clear that the Brown family patriarch Kody doesn’t treat her the way she deserves to be treated. Sadly, it really seems like he never treated her very well.
As we previously noted, in Janelle’s book, she talks about being Kody’s “eternal house guest.”
“I didn’t know when I married Kody what a struggle that first year would be,” the TLC star recalled in her book. “I moved into the house with him and Meri and lived in their guest room. I felt like a long-term visitor, an eternal houseguest instead of a wife.”
“Meri and Kody were still very much in love and they had no idea how to incorporate me into their lives,” she continued. “I had no idea where I fit into the marriage. When we watched movies they would sit on the couch and hold hands under a blanket and I’d sit in my own chair.”
