In case you missed it, Carlin and her husband, Evan Stewart welcomed their second child to the world last month. As they headed to the hospital, they filmed a short clip and shared it on Instagram. This showed fans that the baby was making his debut very soon.
Not too long after the baby was born, Carlin and Evan shared their big news with fans via social media. This might come as a surprise because, in the past, the Bates have sold birth stories, pregnancy announcements, and other big news to magazines.
Now, Carlin Bates is getting lots of love online for not selling out when it came time to release her son’s birth details. In a new post on Duggar Bates Confessions, one fan admitted that they were surprised to see that Carlin “didn’t sell her first pics after baby’s arrival.”
In the comments section of the post, fans are praising her for announcing the birth herself rather than selling out. Maybe she will continue to make these announcements herself going forward.
Someone writes, “I was surprised. I mean good for her, buuuut if I could’ve made a little coin off of the first photos I would’ve lol.”
Why didn’t Carlin Bates sell the birth story and photos?
It’s unclear why exactly Carlin Bates didn’t sell her baby’s birth story and photos to a magazine. Many Bringing Up Bates family members have done so in the past. Some fans might think that outlets didn’t want to pick up the story due to the Bringing Up Bates cancelation. However, a few outlets have recently shared exclusives on Lawson, Trace, and other members of the Bates family.
It’s possible that Carlin simply turned down these offers. One Bringing Up Bates fan speculates, “I don’t think anyone want to buy it.”
Nonetheless, fans are happy that they got to see pictures and videos on social media and YouTube shortly after Zade arrived.
