Michelle Young Shares Superstition Behind Engagement Ring
Michelle Young took to Instagram to answer questions about her fiancé Nayte Olukoya and how she’s dealing with a long-distance relationship. Nayte and Michelle are still going strong after he won her season of The Bachelorette.
Fans fell in love with Michelle when she was on Matt James’ season. They were heartbroken for the sweet teacher when it didn’t work out. They were equally thrilled when she got her chance as the lead. From the beginning, she had great chemistry with Nayte and they continue to prove why they are a couple of Bachelor favorites.
Fans love that they are still going strong. When asked about what she loves most about her fiancé, Michelle had a great answer. She said, “My favorite thing is having found someone who is just as extroverted, outgoing, and willing to have fun like I do!” Michelle currently lives in Minnesota while Olukoya lives in Texas.
What Did Michelle Young Say About The Distance?
Michelle Young does have a hard time being so far from her other half. According to Bachelor Nation, she said, “Long-distance is really hard! I would say what I struggle with most is not being able to have a hug on the hard days, even if Nayte’s hugs are a little too tight!”
She shared an adorable video of her and Nayte dancing and playing together. There are snapshots into their beach vacation and a clip of Michelle being taken out by a wave. They look like they’re having the time of their lives. One fan said, “You two are so freakin ADORABLE! So glad you’re both so happy!!! You deserve all the happiness this world has to offer sweetheart.”
Another fan said, “I like the fact that they are taking the time to actually date one another before getting married.” On another picture of the two of them together, another fan said, “How can 2 people be just equally so beautiful and glowyyyy together it’s beyond me.”
Why Does She Wear Her Ring Like That?
Michelle Young wears her engagement ring, which is shaped like a pear, pointed at her. When asked why she wears it that way, her answer was sweet. She said, “Nayte actually asked Neil Lane which direction the ring was supposed to go on my finger and this is the direction that Neil told him!”
She also said Nayte put the ring on her finger pointing in that direction. Michelle said she’s a little superstitious and scared to change the direction. Superstitious or not, something is working because the two are more in love than ever.
