Daniella Karagach Breaks Down Her Iconic Routine With Iman Shumpert

If you caught Dancing With The Stars Season 30 last fall, you definitely saw a lot of amazing routines. Champions Daniella Karagach and Iman Shumpert definitely went above and beyond to come up with some pretty amazing performances. Remember their Halloween routine? It was the first time they earned a perfect score and the first time audience members thought they might have a shot at the Mirrorball Trophy.

Daniella injured her ankle during the last leg of the DWTS tour, so she’s resting and recovering right now. But on Instagram, she recently shared some behind-the-scenes photos of the Halloween routine.

Daniella Karagach shares how she and Iman Shumpert made the routine happen

No routine starts off perfect. And when the routine is really difficult, it takes a lot of time and energy to pull it all off. Fans were really amazed to see the iconic Halloween routine in all its glory.

“Whether I’d get inspired from videos or it was something we created on our own (like the first video you see here) @imanshumpert was always helping me try and figure out ways to make our lifts more unique as well as safe,” Daniella began her Instagram post documenting the process.. “Sometimes we’d be in camera blocking and an idea would pop into my head ‘IMAN, you think you can take me by my neck and throw me off the stairs?’ 😂”

“Y’all, I wish you would’ve seen his face….. But, he’d show up to rehearsals and honestly try everything thrown at him. We would try out a few things and film them to see if they even looked “cool”. If they didn’t, we’d toss them🤣 I thought it would be fun to show you a bit of our process so here are some raw videos of the lifts we’ve attempted in rehearsals.”

Dancing With The Stars heads to Disney+

In case you haven’t heard, Dancing With The Stars is going to be on Disney+ instead of ABC this fall. So far, we don’t really know what’s going to happen next.

Season 29 champion Artem Chigvintsev even confirmed that the pro dancers are usually the last ones to know anything. Hopefully he and Daniella will be back for Season 31, but we will really just have to wait and see for now.
