Where Is Tammy Slaton? Social Media Silence Concerns Fans
TLC star Tammy Slaton has always maintained a pretty active social media presence. Whether it’s TikTok or Instagram, you can generally count on the 1000-Lb. Sisters star to keep up with fans.
However, many of her followers noticed she’s been pretty quiet lately. So where exactly is Tammy? We can’t say for certain, but we can make some educated guesses based on what we already know about her. Keep reading for more.
Tammy Slaton seems to completely disappear from social media
Tammy Slaton’s last Instagram post went up on March 14 and her last TikTok went up on March 21. So it’s officially been an entire month since she posted online. And fans are really starting to notice.
Her younger sister Amy Halterman is carrying on with life as if everything is normal. But fans are really growing worried.
“How’s Tammy?” one fan asked on a recent Instagram post of Amy’s. “She’s been quiet on social media. Hope she’s doing good. Miss the show!”
Last we heard, Tammy Slaton was still in rehab seeking treatment for her food addiction. When she first arrived, it seemed like she was making remarkable progress. But as time went on, she said she couldn’t share any more updates about her condition and hinted that fans would need to tune into 1000-Lb. Sisters Season 4 for answers.
However, TLC never officially confirmed that the show was coming back for a fourth season. Some fans think that Tammy was sidestepping the question so she wouldn’t have to face reality — rehab might not be working out.
So where is the reality TV star right now?
Until Tammy Slaton or a member of her family says anything differently, we still believe she’s in rehab. But the silence is scaring fans. Tammy struggles with a lot of different health issues because of her size and she often needs hospitalization.
The TLC star had a lot of close calls in the past and some fans periodically theorize she passed away. Fans even thought as recently as January 2022 that she might actually be dead.
However, Tammy did resurface back then and it’s possible she will do it again. After all, she’s a person too and may just be burned out on social media for the time being. She may have a lot of fans, but there are also many people online who treat her very poorly. It’s entirely possible she is taking a step back to focus on her mental health too.
If something serious happens to Tammy, we can probably expect Amy Halterman to speak up about it. Until then, it’s probable that Tammy just wants some alone time and we can expect her to be back online shortly.
