The Masked Singer showed Ken Jeong throwing a fit and walking off after unmasking. The Wednesday, April 20 episode was the most dramatic one of the entire season and there have been plenty of hair-raising moments. For the first time ever, Baby Mammoth, Jack in the Box, The Prince, Space Bunny, and Queen Cobra performed on the stage.

One of the contestant’s identities came as a shock to the judges. It was an awkward moment for everyone involved. Jeong was visibly upset by the unmasking. He walked off the stage as his fellow panelist Robin Thicke followed after him.

The Masked Singer teased the biggest unveil of the season. This group of contestants performed earlier on in the season. However, it seems like production pushed this episode off because of the controversy it caused. A few months ago, a report leaked that former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani was one of the masked contestants.

The group finally made their Masked Singer debut on Wednesday’s episode. Some of the judges and the audience were left speechless by the unmasking. All four of them got their guesses wrong. Panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke watched the final group of contestants perform during the episode.

Jack in the Box came from Team Bad. He performed “Bad to the Bone” by George Thorogood and the Destroyers. In his clue package, he said that he gets “put in a box a lot.” Masked Singer fans at home had a bad feeling about Jack in the Box. They could tell by his clue package and voice that it was Giuliani under the mask.

Of course, they were right. While it was the most dramatic unmasking of the season, it wasn’t particularly shocking. Because of that report from months ago, it was to be expected. Fans wondered when the unmasking was going to happen.

The Masked Singer controversy finally airs

During Wednesday’s episode of The Masked Singer, Jack in the Box was the one who went home. The panel stuck with their original guesses. During the unmasking, Rudy Giuliani revealed himself. President Donald Trump’s former lawyer was suspended from practicing law last year after he made false comments about Trump’s 2020 election loss.

The panelists were flabbergasted. Even host Nick Cannon didn’t know what to say. The audience gasped when they recognized Giuliani. Meanwhile, Ken Jeong stood there with a stone-faced expression. He folded his arms, looking disappointed.

Cannon acknowledged the “controversy” that is following Giuliani. Per People, he is the subject of an ongoing federal investigation for his involvement with Ukraine. Giuliani explained he wanted to appear on Masked Singer because he “doesn’t get to have a lot of fun.” He watches the show with his granddaughter, Grace.

Giuliani was given the chance to perform one last time before leaving the show. McCarthy and Scherzinger danced around in shock while Jeong walked off the stage. He was heard saying, “I’m done” to Thicke, who followed him. What are your thoughts on Giuliani’s unmasking? Sound off below in the comment section.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.

  1. I watch the masked singer every season and I thought Ken Jeong’s mannerism was very unprofessional. It’s not a political show and should never be one it’s for people’s enjoyment he should be removed from the show and I will not be watching it anymore Nor will I watch his show I can see your voice.

  2. I’m totally disgusted with the Masked Singer bringing in Giuliani as a participant. Both Children and Adults enjoy the show and they had the audacity to use a low life poor example of a man who clearly started January’s attack on the Capitol which not only made the US look weak and the joke of the various countries watching this happen. He’s liar, cheat, poor example of a man who was a minion for Trump, another nauseating and sick individual. I definitely praise Ken Jeong for walking out and standing strongly with his belief. As for the other judges who kissed Gulianu’s behind, SHAME ON THEM… Two of the worse people representing the United States that made us look like a horses ass. Shame on production, directors, and every other staff member who insanely put this idiot on the stage. I feel sorry for his granddaughter Grace who sees this person as a grandpa…

  3. If Ken and Robin aren’t fired. I’m no longer watching the show. We watch to get a break from politics. I could care less what the party affiliation is of the judges or the contestants and it should stay that way. In my opinion, Ken and Robin broke their contract walking off the stage of their JOB. Who do they think they are deciding if the producers made the right choice of contestants. Their approval is neither requested or required. They totally miss the point of this show and its disgraceful.
