Controversial Bachelor In Paradise alums reveal relationship update

“Here for the right reasons” is a phrase fans hear often in the Bachelor Nation franchise. It means someone who is looking for true love versus someone looking to promote their career or gain fame. The allegation has been leveled against many contestants.

During Season 7 of Bachelor In Paradise, speculation arose that beachgoers Chris Conran and Alana Milne weren’t there for the right reasons. In fact, they were accused of dating before the show. Other contestants Brendan Morais and Pieper James faced the same allegations, which they admitted in a hot mic moment.

However, Chris and Alana denied the speculation but were kicked off the show by their fellow contestants anyway.

They recently made an appearance on Us Weekly’s Here For The Right Reasons podcast. The now-couple again denied having a romance prior to the show, or even while on the show.

Chris and Alana are together now but claim they only reconnected after filming. They made the surprising announcement that they’ve since moved in together in Mexico.

What did they have to say about their former co-stars? Nothing good.

Bachelor fan-favorite Joe Amabile was among those leading the charge against Milne and Conran. Jessenia Cruz alleged that Alana confessed to hoping the show would increase her social media popularity, a charge Alana denies.

In Conran’s opinion, some contestants relied on their Bachelor Nation fandom to bully him.

“I was getting picked on by the big bullies who were really well-known and knew that they had the supporters back home to back ’em up, no matter what they said on the show, no matter what they did.” – Chris Conran Here For The Right Reasons podcast.

He added that he regrets not speaking up against the accusations. However, he wanted to be the “bigger man” in the situation.

Where do Milne and Conran stand with their former co-stars now? Alana revealed that no one from Season 7 reached out after filming to apologize. Furthermore, she said that she can forgive but not forget, “I’ll never have any of those people in my life in any capacity.”

Season 8 could see the return of Bachelor Season 26 villain

ABC recently confirmed that Bachelor in Paradise will return for another season. So far, they haven’t released the names of the Season 8 contestants.

However, many think that Shanae Ankney will wind up in Paradise. She was the villain of Clayton Echard’s recent season of The Bachelor.
