Why does Amy Halterman still shop at Walmart?

One frustrated fan admitted they were a bit surprised to see Amy Halterman and her family shopping at Walmart. Does TLC even pay her that well?

There has been a lot of chatter floating around that the 1000-Lb. Sisters stars are some of the lowest-paid personalities on the TLC network. Likewise, a lot of fans note that Amy Halterman and her family don’t get nearly as much money from the network as people believe.

As we previously reported, Amy is believed to have a net worth of roughly $250,000. It has also been speculated that she makes between $75,000 and $100,000 per season of 1000-Lb. Sisters. While that seems like a pretty big piece of pie, fans also have to consider how many hours of the family’s lives go into filming a season of the series as seasons of this show tend to run a bit longer than some of the other shows on the network.
