Kody & Robyn Brown Need To Come Clean About Closet Monogamy?
Kody and Robyn Brown spent most of the pandemic cooped up together. He used safety as the excuse but viewers believed there was more to it. In the end, his other marriages have suffered. Now fans are urging the couple to just be honest about where their relationship really stands.
Robyn Brown Wanted Monogamy All Along?
When Robyn came into the Brown family, she had already been married once before. Yet she and her ex-husband had never explored polygamy and taken on extra wives. They had been raised in the lifestyle so it seemed like something natural they would do. Luckily, she met Kody through his first wife Meri and they were spellbound. He had the life that suited her and she went on to become his fourth wife. Additionally, her kids were really happy to be immersed with his thirteen other children. However, she never got to experience a plural family as the original three wives did. They all lived under one roof but Robyn lived down the street from them until they moved to Vegas from Utah. There, each wife had their own him in a cul-de-sac.
It allowed for autonomy that was comfortable, freeing yet the families were still close enough to be intertwined. Kody was always on a rotation with his wives and then they moved to Flagstaff. He tried to pitch the idea of a one-family home there but it was a no-go from Christine. They had a big piece of land, Coyote Pass yet no one knew exactly what to do with it. Plus it was going to take time to build on it so everyone had to get their own homes. They ended up being so far apart that when the pandemic hit, the distance had a huge impact. Kody failed at his rotation since he did not trust two of his wives and mostly ended up at Robyn’s.
Closet Monogamists?
Robyn Brown sat with both Meri and Janelle. She expressed how hard it was to be alone with Kody all the time since that was not what she signed up for. Robyn shared she had plenty of suitors prior so she could have had a monogamous marriage but that was not what she wanted. Not everyone believed her. So when it comes to what fans want for Season 17, pending there is one, viewers just want Kody and Robyn to be honest. They want the duo to admit they’re monogamists at this point, according to a Reddit thread. Christine has left the family and he is not intimate with Meri or Janelle so this just leaves him and Robyn.
“My dream would be following Robyn and Kody live a monogamous life with no intervention from other kids or wives and watch them implode and realize the problem wasn’t that they were soul mates who wanted monogamy in a polygamous family but that they’re just both horrible people who wanted each other for the ✨drama✨,” one Redditor shared. Others echoed this exact sentiment and scenario. Another added: “I hope they all come to the realization that polygamy is not for them. Robyn & Kody decide to be monogamous. They sell CP and all go their separate ways.” Seems everyone has realized they are monogamists except for them.
