Is DOOL alum and current Real Housewives star Lisa Rinna returning to the second chapter of the soap’s Beyond Salem streaming series? Keep reading to find out all we know about the second season.
Peacock renews Beyond Salem for second chapter
In September of 2021, residents of fictitious Salem took over the Peacock streaming service for a limited series. The five episodes of Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem featured beloved characters John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall,) as well as newbies Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price (Sal Stowers)
The storyline involved a globe-trotting jewel caper.
Soap fans will be happy to know that there will be a chapter two of the DOOL spin-off. Deadline reported that John and Marlena will be back for a new adventure. This time, they’re joined by Steve (Stephen Nichols,) Kayla (Mary Beth Evans,) Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams,) and Gabi Hernadez (Camila Banus.)

Days of Our Lives fans were surprised to see Lisa Rinna return as Billie Reed in the first chapter of Beyond Salem. Now working for the ISA, Billie helped track down the missing jewels.
Chapter two will set Salemites on another globetrotting mission. The press release teases, “family reunions take a dangerous turn as a mysterious adversary wreaks havoc on their lives.”
However, neither Lisa Rinna or Billie Reed are mentioned in the press release for chapter two. It doesn’t appear the RHOBH star will return.
Instead, the spin-off will feature the return of Fancy Face. That’s right, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) is returning. And she won’t be alone.
Legendary soap couple is back
Almost two years after leaving Days of Our Lives in a huff, Kristian Alfonso is finally back in the fold. In 2020, she abruptly quit the soap after finding out the soap planned Hope to exit the canvas for six months. In fact, she heavily implied that she would never return.
But never say never.
Deadline revealed that Alfonso will appear in chapter two of Beyond Salem. Even more shocking, Peter Reckell will reprise his role as Bo Brady in the limited series. Wait, what?
TVLine reminds viewers that Bo died in Hope’s arms back in 2015.
Fans will have to tune in this summer to find out if Bo is back from the dead or a ghostly presence.

Lisa Rinna may not be going Beyond Salem this summer, but fans can still catch her on TV. Season 12 of RHOBH premieres on Wednesday, May 11 on Bravo.
