1000-Lb. Sisters star Tammy Slaton doesn’t seem to be very lucky in love. Although she’s had a few different boyfriends on the show, none of them ever seem to stick.

Tammy Slaton doesn’t always seem to have good luck with men
If you’ve been with the Slaton sisters from the beginning, you’re probably familiar with Jerry Sykes. As Screenrant puts it, “Jerry was the worst boyfriend that Tammy ever had.”
Fans and Tammy’s family members alike grew really frustrated with how unsupportive Jerry was. Tammy’s entire goal was to make better lifestyle choices. However, he frequently helped her cheat on her diet and brought Tammy banned foods. To make matters worse, Jerry had a wife and several children.
At the end of the day, their relationship seemed to be more about Jerry’s fetish for large women than true love.

More recently, we saw Tammy fall for a man named Phillip Redmond. The pair reportedly met on TikTok and he dubbed himself as the “BBW King.” Phillip apparently at one point said he would leave a woman if she lost too much weight, which caused Tammy’s siblings to intervene.
Phillip didn’t treat Tammy well either and the two parted ways eventually.
“We broke up,” she revealed in a clip obtained by PEOPLE. “I guess you could say I did it, cause I was tired of fighting with him and he said my insecurities were my problem. And, like, at the beginning of the relationship I told him, I was like, can you promise you’ll help me through my insecurities. He said it got to be too much.”
Tammy Slaton is in rehab right now and seems to be single.
The future of the popular TLC show hangs in the balance
If TLC does indeed renew 1000-Lb. Sisters for another season, fans hope Tammy will learn a few important lessons and rehab and make better choices. If she hangs out with bad men, they’re worried her weight issues will return.
But we’ll just have to play this all by ear. We can’t know what will happen next with Tammy’s love life until she tells us more.
