Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has announced they will soon premiere Color My World With Love, featuring a lead character with Down syndrome.

The movie just wrapped production and will air later this year. It stars Lily D. Moore (Never Have I Ever), Erica Durance (Open By Christmas), Karen Kruper (The Wedding Veil), Benjamin Ayres (Cranberry Christmas),  and David DeSanctis (Where Hope Grows).

What Is Hallmark’s Color My World With Love About?

According to ET, the Hallmark drama centers around Kendall (Moore). She is a talented artist with Down syndrome. Kendall paints in the Impressionist style because this is how she sees what she paints. Her art is beautiful and admired.

Moreover, thanks to a fulfilling family life that includes her mother Emma (Durance), and grandmother, Bev (Kruper).

However, things take a major u-turn when Kendall takes a cooking class. This is healed a the local center for diverse learners.

There, she meets Brad (DeSanctis). Soon, a romance blossoms. 

Understandably, this disrupts Kendall’s thriving existence. That is because Emma has spent 22 years protecting her daughter. Moreover, she is concerned when things between Kendall and Brad get serious fast.

Emma tries to stall the relationship. She feels a lack of protective control. Emma does not want to see her daughter get heartbroken. This is her greatest fear.

Here comes Nic (Ayres) to help Emma out. Nic is one of Brad’s family friends. Nic makes Emma realize that Kendall is ready to live her own life. Moreover, she should lead her own life.

In addition, Kendall teaches Emma to look for the beauty that exists around us. Most of all, look for love.

The Color My World With Love Stars Talk About This Hallmark Movie

Lily D. Moore shared a statement about this movie. “Everyone has a dream to fall in love and get married one day, even people with disabilities.”

She continued,  “I hope viewers take away that Color My World With Love is about painting your own story through your emotions and that we all have endless possibilities.”

Benjamin Ayres shared on Instagram, “‘My brother from another Mother’ is a line from #ColorMyWorldWithLove that David and I text each other daily. #daviddesanctis”

Peter Benson Directed Color My World With Love

While a lot of people may recognize Peter Benson from Aurora Teagarden, as Aurora’s ex-boyfriend, Arthur Smith, Benson has quietly been racking up directorial credits in the past few years.

Most recently, Benson directed The Santa Stakeout and Sweet Carolina.

On Thursday, he wrote on Instagram, “Color My World With Love!!! Beyond thrilled that I got to direct this beautiful movie with such an exceptional cast and crew!!!”

Color My World With Love will premiere later in 2022 on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
