Christine Brown Gets Called ‘Predatory’ For Pushing Goods?
Christine Brown has been praised for leaving her toxic marriage with Kody Brown. Viewers have celebrated her new life and how she is glowing now that she is doing her own thing. She is glowing in Utah and living her best life. Unfortunately, there is one aspect that is making negative waves and fans have no problem calling her out.
Christine Brown- From Homemaker To Businesswoman
For Christine, being the third wife was her main goal when it came to joining a plural family. When she entered the Brown family in 1994, she was considered a breath of fresh air. She broke a lot of tension between first and second wife, Meri and Janelle which was a big draw for their husband, Kody. Her main job in the home was to tend to the children, the home, and say yes to everything Kody needed and wanted. In the first season of Sister Wives, Janelle’s life was so much thanks to Christine. She took care of their children as well as ensured dinner was always on the table. Once they escaped Utah, Christine dipped her toe into business by getting her real estate license along with Janelle. She did not do much with it but it was still a step.
By the time they headed to Flagstaff, she had ventured into the world of MLMs with LuLaRoe, something Meri was involved in. She was quite successful even needing a virtual employee. Knowing that this was a profitable venture, she saw an opportunity in an MLM that Janelle and her daughter, Maddie were involved in. They had joined together to promote Plexus so she jumped on the bandwagon. This allowed her to have the resources when she decided her marriage to Kody was over. She headed back to Utah and bought a $1.1 million place to live. Unfortunately how she is choosing to make her money doesn’t sit well with some fans.
Too Pushy With Her Goods?
Christine Brown does not get much scrutiny for selling LuLaRoe. However, her affiliation with Plexus, a weight loss supplement has caught some heat. In a recent Reddit thread, fans called her out for the way she has been pushing the product.”I get that “Christine is a Kween omg freeee Christine she is perfect” is really fun BUT CHRISTINE IS SCAMMING PEOPLE WITH A PREDATORY EXPENSIVE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS MLM “HEALTH” DRINK. I don’t get why she’s allowed to do that with no snark or hate or accountability just bc she left Kody,” one person commented.
Another added: “Yeah Christine is selling garbage to people. Glad she left Kody but like get a real job.” At this point, Christine still actively promotes the product but comments are turned off. Either she does not want to deal with the negativity or she just wants to promote and move on. Regardless, she feels passionate about it and is not stopping any time soon.
