“Rip little bit. I love you so much,” she shares on her social media including the dates that the dog was alive. “2000-2022.”

Of course, fans shared their love for the TLC star in the comments. Little Bit was a fan favorite onΒ 1000-Lb. Sisters,Β so everyone was sad to hear this news.

  • “So sorry 😒 all the treats are waiting over the rainbow bridge 🌈 β™₯️”
  • “Oh nooooo, not sweet little lil bit! She definitely lived a long loving life that you gave to her and now she’ll be your guardian angel for always! Sorry for your loss ❀️❀️”

On this comment, Amy actually responds explaining why it was Little Bit’s time to go.

“we took her to the vet 5 days go for what we thought was allergies. He did xray and blood work come to find out she had bad lung cancer. We keep her on meds and keep her comfortable,” she shares.

So, it sounds like lung cancer is what ultimately took Little Bit’s life. However, with 22 years down it seems like Amy was certainly a great dog mom and gave Little Bit the best care possible.

Amy’s having a baby

Of course, Amy does have one thing coming up to look forward to – the birth of her new baby. She has been sharing several updates on the little baby on her Instagram. It sounds like everything is going smoothly as she prepares to be the mom of two little ones!

  1. Rest in paradise Lil Bit. To bad you got lung cancer sure to your owner’s selfish self. She always smoked in the house knowing second hand smoke can cause cancer. At least now there won’t be any bugs or smoke in doggie heaven.

      1. 124 actually. Year one is equal to 15 human years. Year two is equal to 9. Every subsequent year is equal to approximately 5 years. But you make a great point. A dog living to 22 is phenomenal.

    1. THAT IS JUST RUDE πŸ‘Ώ
      Rest in Peace Little BitπŸΎπŸ’”
22 years old for a dog to live to is beyond Amazing.. Wow
You had a Great Mama πŸ€—

    2. Good gracious really! This is why people don’t share the reality of life on reality shows.Crap remarks like this.Dont you think that just losing an animal that you’ve loved and cared for 22 years, that’s been a part of your life, that watching her die was punishment enough even though who decided she needs to be punished.Thats God’s decision not ours, gee whiz, for real!My sorrow is shared with you Amy. My very loved ‘pit’ died as a result of being ‘spayed’.I was told that cancer was possible if I didn’t spay her because she developed a condition where her mammory glands became engorged even though she was not nor ever would be bred. Now should I be ‘punished’? Anyhow, I loved her(Jackie) more than anyone or animal could be, I took excellent care of her, heck she was loved and spoiled by my entire family, anyway just know though it will never go away the pain will subside.

    3. How long did you want the little doggie to live 50 years? 22 is awesome for a pup now Amy and her family are grieving the loss of their fur baby and you go and say something like that. You are not God so you should not judge! You are just being mean for mean sake, a lot of people smoke and their animals don’t get cancer or nor do they and some people and animals that have never really been around smoke die from cancer. Please don’t judge a lot of my family members died from cancer and it sucks hearing everyone trying to pass judgment on them for one thing or another, it dont make it easier for me my parents and other family members still arnt here. I for one don’t smoke just saying let God do his job and we not judge each other and the world would be a nicer place.

    4. What you said about Amy and her dog is very mean.
You don’t know know anything about this dog.
Many people smoke in there home.
That doesn’t mean Amy’s dog got Cancer from Amy’s home.
I don’t smoke anymore and I don’t allow smoking in my home.
Yrs ago I grew up in a home that everyone smoked and it didn’t kill our dogs or cats.
I don’t condone smoking at all anywhere.
      Just saying!

  2. Amy my heart goes out to you, little bit was the cutest little one ever. I didn’t realize he was of that age the way he acted it wasn’t of an old dog it was like he was living life to the fullest. Losing a pet is like losing a child we treat our fur babies as our kids because to us they are you were a great mom as you are to that precious baby Gage. An I’m sure you will the new one when it arrives, I’ve watched your show from the beginning and I know the struggles you have faced an the way people have talked about your living conditions no one has the right to judge you. The world has thrown you another curve ball an it is ok to grieve now not have to listen to people that are rude an appears to not have compassion for someone that has lost a beloved family member. Li bit will be missed my condolences to your family
