Malia White Spotted With Captain Sandy, Back On ‘Below Deck Med’?

Malia White was recently spotted with Captain Sandy Yawn. Does this mean she’s making a return to Below Deck Mediterranean? There hasn’t been any news yet for the upcoming season. Malia and Sandy received backlash after the fifth season.

Captain Sandy fired Hannah Ferrier for having unregistered Valium and a CBD pen in her belongings. Malia caught wind of Hannah’s belongings when she helped her recover from a panic attack. Out of an act of retaliation, Malia sent a picture of Hannah’s medication to Sandy.

Despite the backlash, both Sandy and Malia returned for the sixth season. They recently reunited for a special reason.

Malia White and Captain Sandy Yawn reunited

Captain Sandy and Malia White had a run-in at Maritime Professional Training in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Below Deck Med bosun shared the news via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, April 6. Those working in the yachting industry have to take regular courses to keep their certification up to date. They can also earn additional credentials to take on more advanced jobs and work up the ranks.

Malia White has been studying to become a captain. She shared a clip of their mini-reunion, where she revealed that she’s working on becoming a chief mate before she can become a captain. Meanwhile, Sandy was there for her firefighting revalidation.

On March 30, Malia White revealed that she’s “Back on that Bosun S***” in her latest Instagram post. The photo shows her wearing an orange helmet and safety vest. Malia also caught up with her Below Deck Med co-star Katie Flood. As TV Shows Ace reported, Katie made an appearance on Malia’s new podcast, Total Ship Show.

Returning to Below Deck Med?

With all these reunions lately, fans have to wonder if Malia White is returning to Below Deck Med. After the backlash she received, she’s taking a break from the show. She wanted to go on an extended hiatus this time around. Malia is focusing on her new position and her podcast.

She’s received a lot of questions about Hannah’s firing and the role she played in that incident. At the time, Malia White spoke to her guest Brandi Glanville, who is friends with Hannah. Malia claims she doesn’t dislike Hannah even though they didn’t get along while working together. She wants to shift the focus of her podcast to the yachting industry rather than the show itself.
