Michelle Young Updates Fans On Nayte Olukoya & Wedding Plans
Former Bachelorette Michelle Young is updating fans on how her relationship with Nayte Olukoya is going. He is her final rose winner and the two got engaged on her season finale. However, since they live in two different places, fans often wonder how they manage to navigate living apart. Plus, are they finally planning a wedding? Keep reading to find out more.
How are Michelle Young and Nayte Olukoya doing?
US Weekly shared what Michelle Young had to say about the status of her and Nayte Olukoya’s engagement. The two are not living together and are not even living in the same city.
However, distance hasn’t stopped them from dreaming about what they want on their wedding day. According to Michelle, they both definitely want a really big wedding. They are still going strong and very much in love.
She said, “Nayte and I, we know so many different people and we have such big families and that’s a huge part of [our planning process].” Michelle continued, “And so coming out of a pandemic … one thing that we both can’t imagine is having a small wedding and so we want to make sure that we’re completely clear of that so that’s not even a stresser for us, and then, [we want to have] warm weather [on our wedding day].”
How they handle long distance
Nayte said of their long-distance relationship, “When we are together, we just spend time together like non-stop so it’s nice.”
Michelle threw in that when they are not together they still make things work. She said, “If we’re not hanging out, we’re texting [or] FaceTiming. We do a lot of movie nights like over FaceTime or Zoom. We’ve been making it work. But, he’s been in Minnesota for a little bit now so it’s been nice.”
Michelle and Nayte aren’t the only ones making things work and getting adjusted. Their dogs have also been getting to know each other. Michelle said it took them both a bit to get used to each other. However, now she noted that they snuggle and even play together.
So, while they haven’t actually set a date for their wedding, Michelle and Nayte are at least already planning it in their minds. They know what they want so perhaps a date will soon follow.
