Did TLC Try To Hide Kody Brown’s Profession From Fans?
So what exactly does Kody Brown do for a living anyway?
That’s one question that Sister Wives fans pondered for quite some time.
On an episode of the Surviving Sister Wives podcast, Kody’s son Paedon refused to clarify what his dad did for work. Instead, Paedon told the hosts he want to hear what fans think Kody Brown does. But he wouldn’t give the secret away.
Today, we positively know that Kody Brown sells guns. But why wouldn’t Paedon share that with Sister Wives fans? Did TLC have a hand in hiding this information?

Kody Brown has been very secretive about his gun business
Paedon Brown serves in the National Guard, so it’s not very likely that he has an issue with guns. But it might not be up to Paedon whether or not to disclose his father’s business.
Even Kody Brown wasn’t willing to say much on the matter. On Cameo, a few fans asked about his profession. But he didn’t really clarify anything.
Guns can be a pretty polarizing topic, so it could be possible that TLC chose to hide this from fans in order to keep viewership up.
As we’ve said in other articles, TLC has an image to maintain and has a narrative it wants to tell. If something falls outside the network’s narrative, they could potentially hide it or try to cover it up.
We don’t have any concrete information this has happened yet, but nothing is outside the realm of possibility. Why else would both Kody Brown and his family be so secretive about their gun business?

Keep in mind that Kody Brown really isn’t the most popular with fans. It’s also possible he asked his family not to talk about his gun business so fans couldn’t find him and harass him.
Sister Wives viewers absolutely hated the way he treated his family in the most recent season. It wouldn’t be unimaginable to think that he wouldn’t want to deal with viewers in real life.
Fans did spot Kody Brown selling guns at a gun show recently. And it appeared that he’d lost a significant amount of weight. His job and the weight loss might be addressed in the newest Sister Wives season, but we’ll have to stay tuned for now.

I like that Kody brown sells guns I hope he shows them how to lock the guns up.

I don’t know why you assume that it would make viewers dislike him. I think they would have liked him more if they had shared it earlier. At least the the guy supports the second amendment. I can’t think of much else good to say about him.
Good for him. That is an honest profession substantiated by the second amendment. Also not one of those women that are spiritually married to Cody have been forced to do so. They are not victims and I’m not a polygamist.
He DEFINITELY hid this, what a hypocrite! We all knew that already though. Why Jenelle and Meri stay in a sexless, relationship less “union” is beyond me! He’s made it clear numerous times that there’s no attraction or relationship to either one, only to Robin. That’s his only wife and functuoning relationship….he uses Jenelle for her money. Wake up and move on ladies!
How can the wife’s stand in line for sloppy seconds? All I can say is the checks from TLC must be good because the show has been on air for how many years now? Their goal was to show others how their life style was normal but I think it’s crazy and dysfunctional who would want to live their life with all that drama??
It actually backfired on them and now the show has been cancelled. Good riddance in my opinion.
What’s wrong with selling guns? It’s a free country. If he can marry 20 different women and have separate families with them; what’s the problem.
It’s what people do with those guns that is a crime or a sport, or even self defense.
It’s none of our business what he does for a living . They have to keep some parts of their lives private . I have no issue with him selling guns or guns in general . Good people have guns too!! True Story! My husband sells guns and also teaches the CC classes. On top of that, he volunteers to help local churchases that support the 2nd ammendment by teaching our youth in how to properly handle a weapon, clean a weapon and fire a weapon if necessary!
Because the Second Amendment is working out so well for ya! All those horrific shootings you mean that would probably never happen if Americans weren’t so keen on gun toting…you never learn.
