Most of the time when fans like a reality show, they want something in the same vein to hold them over during a hiatus. The same is true of My 600-Lb. Life, featuring Dr. Now. The show shows people at their heaviest facing the challenges of trying to lose weight while dealing with their reality.

Fans of the show on Reddit went looking for shows that are similar to the popular show. They found a few that My 600-Lb. Life fans might enjoy. Read on to see what those are.

The group on Reddit had a few suggestions for shows fans of My 600 Lb. Life, I may like. One person suggested a documentary called The World’s Heaviest Man Gets Married. They said one thing that stuck out to them about it was the fact that the doctor, Barry Sears was the complete opposite of Dr. Now.

The documentary covered an overly obese man trying to get his life in order. They mentioned that the wife could have contributed more to the problem than helped it. According to ScreenRant, there is a show called Supersize vs. Superskinny which has an interesting concept. The British reality show has a very thin person trade diets with an obese person. Both are unhealthy and both are learning new things.

Fit to Fat to Fit is another show that fans of My 600-Lb. Life might enjoy. Personal trainers gain weight on purpose and then try to lose it. It’s to help them get a better understanding of their clients. The trainers deal with how it can affect them mentally and physically.

Would Dr. Now Operate On The Patients In This Documentary?

According to Reddit, My 600-Lb. Life fans would like the documentary My Kid Can’t Stop Eating. The documentary features someone with Prader-Willi Syndrome. Among other things, this ailment gives the person with it an insatiable appetite leading to obesity.

One person commented that they wondered if Dr. Now would do surgery on someone suffering from PWS or if he would avoid it. A smaller stomach wouldn’t go well with such a big appetite. Some other suggestions on the Reddit thread were about other documentaries to watch while waiting for 600 Lb. to come back.

They suggested the Netflix documentary Abducted in Plain Sight which they said made them think. Another one they suggested was There’s Something Wrong With Aunt Diane, which looks at the details behind a woman who crashed killing multiple people. IMBD says it asks the question, “was she really the reckless drunk, or the perfect suburban mother?”
