Bering Sea Gold’s Emily Riedel Is First- Time Mother
Emily Riedel is an opera singer and a gold miner. Now, she is a mother. The Bering Sea Gold star has given birth to a baby girl. Although she did not go on to social media, her husband Alex Trokey made the announcement.
Late on Thursday, Alex Trokey took over Emily’s Facebook page. The Chicago native posted, “Hey everyone this is Alex – Emily’s husband. Emily had a baby girl two nights ago. She and baby are happy and healthy and home. She will announce more details soon and thanks everyone for the support!”
Since Alex posted on Thursday, March 31, two nights before would have been Tuesday, March 29. This is the first child for both Emily and Alex.
Although the couple has not shared their baby girl’s name, she did reveal on Instagram, on December 1 that they were expecting, and the baby was going to be a girl.
We made a human! She’s rollin’ out in March. We’re so happy and excited to be parents soon 🙂
Whirlwind Year For Emily Riedel
The Bering Sea Gold star has had quite a whirlwind year. On May 7, 2021, she married Alex Trokey. Her father, Steve Riedel walked her down the aisle.
In January 2021, the couple was engaged. That was almost nine months after they met. They met on April 8, 2020, amid the Covid pandemic.
So, how did the reality star meet her husband during the worldwide pandemic? Sounds like the Riedels have a matchmaker in their talented family.
How Did Bering Sea Gold Star Meet Husband?
Back in 2020, the world was just shutting down for two years. How did the couple meet during this crazy time? According to the Bering Sea Gold star’s Instagram, Paul Riedel, Emily’s brother matched them up.
On April 8, 2021, Emily wrote, “One year ago we had our first date at my Homer cabin in the midst of pandemic madness. Thx to my brother Paul for being a one-time matchmaker. Also, for this dope sauna. Also, thank God for this gent. @paulriedelcarpentry.”
We don’t know if Emily’s brother is willing to help out anyone else find their soul mate, but Emily is certainly grateful.
According to the Homer News, Alex started on his work journey far from Alaska. Equipped with a degree in finance, Trokey worked a cornucopia of consulting, sales, and finance jobs in some major cities like D.C., and Chicago.
However, he never felt quite at home there. Subsequently, Alex found his way to Homer, Alaska for missionary work. Then, he started to work with an outfitting team at Bay Weld Boats.
It was only a couple more steps before he met Paul, and then his sister. Now, they make three.
