Next, is Suitcase Killer: The Melanie McGuire Story, starring Candice King. The third movie is He’s Not Worth Dying For, which features Robin Givens. Lastly, is Jailbreak Lovers, starring Catherine Bell, and Tom Stevens.
The first movie premieres on Saturday, June 11, and runs for four consecutive Saturdays.

In this Lifetime movie, Lucy (Boys) is a 17-year-old who avoids any sort of friendship. That is because she is embarrassed by her family’s secret. The house is filled with items from floor to ceiling. She just wants to hang in until she leaves for college. That is her escape plan.
However, now, she has to manage her mother Joanna (Hart), who has a hoarding disorder. Although Joanna is a nurse and has the outward impression of a balanced person, she lives in a world of disfunction. This is all the result of a tragedy. Will Lucy hide her mother’s secret, or expose it to the world?
Lifetime’s Suitcase Killer: The Melanie McGuire Story Is Based On True Story
While most Ripped From Headlines movies is based on headlines, Suitcase Killer is based on a shocking true story. This movie stars Candice King (Vampire Diaries), Michael Roark (Beauty And The Beast), Jackson Hurst (The Mist), and Wendie Malick (Young Sheldon). The movie will premiere on Saturday, June 18, at 8 p.m., Eastern.
Melanie McGuire (King) was an exceptional fertility nurse, married to her ex-Navy husband Bill (Roark) and doting mother of two boys. However, when she falls for Brad (Hurst), a doctor at her clinic, things get complicated.
Now, entangled in a steamy love affair, Melanie does the unthinkable. After drugging and murdering Bill, she dismembers him and places the body parts into three suitcases, throwing them into the Chesapeake Bay. But when the suitcases are found on the shores of Virginia Beach, an investigation is launched leading to Melanie as the prime suspect.
Led by the efforts of assistant attorney general Patti Prezioso (Malick), authorities eventually bring Melanie to justice. While Melanie is being convicted, she continues to maintain her innocence.
He’s Not Worth Dying For Is Ripped From The Headlines
The next movie, He’s Not Worth Dying For stars Robin Givens (Riverdale), Hilda Martin (Our Christmas Journey), Rachel Boyd (The Bold Type), Lachlan Quarmby (A Very Merry Bridesmaid), and Lochlyn Munro (Peacemaker). This Ripped From The Headlines movie premieres on Saturday, June 25, at 8 p.m., Eastern.
He’s Not Worth Dying For is inspired by true events. This movie shows the real and social media lives of Isla (Boyd) a 19-year-old girl who has established herself as a beauty and fashion influencer and Grace (Martin) the expected valedictorian of her class with hopes of a veterinary career.
Though both are very different, they unknowingly share one thing in common, Jake (Quarmby). He is dating both women without their knowledge. However, when Isla and Grace discover that Jake was cheating on them, the girls don’t turn on him. They turn on each other in a jealous rivalry!
Moreover, they use their arsenal of social media platforms to badmouth and attack one another. Now, their followers take sides and pit them against each other. Horrifically, their hatred for one another escalates into a real-life fight that ultimately turns deadly.
Lifetime’s Jailbreak Lovers
Lifetime’s final Summer 2022 Ripped From The Headlines movie is Jailbreak Lovers, starring Catherine Bell (Good Witch), and Tom Stevens (North To Home). This is Bell’s first return to Lifetime since Army Wives. This movie airs on Saturday, July 2, at 8 p.m., Eastern.
Toby (Bell) is a woman who always played by the rules. That means she never ran a red light, married the one and only boy she ever dated, raised a family, and regularly went to church. She was a good girl who did all the right things.
However, when Toby loses her job, she starts a non-profit to rehabilitate abused, rescued dogs at the local prison. Therefore, no one could have anticipated that she would end up on the run, shacked up with her younger lover John (Tom Stevens), a convicted murderer.
Moreover, the star-crossed lovers hatch a plan to break John out of prison by smuggling him out in one of the dog crates. Based on a true story, this created a federal manhunt.
