If you’re a fan of 19 Kids & Counting or Counting On, you might know about some of their secrets that have recently surfaced. For one, Josh Duggar’s shady actions led to a federal investigation and ultimately, he was arrested, went to trial, and is awaiting sentencing for child pornography charges.

On Reddit, Duggar snarkers are chatting about the family’s lies. They have kept a close eye on Jim Bob, Michelle, and their 19 kids. So they are aware of many of the things that have been brought to light.
Some critics believe that the family’s actions might have been exaggerated for their TLC shows. One Reddit user points out one “lie,” noting, “That the kids, again, specifically the girls, actually got to choose things like their courtship boundaries, the modesty standards they had, etc.”
They add, “Subpoint: That they actually strictly abided by the guidelines as shown on the show, based on the instapost by Derick suggesting that he and Jill actually had alone time in Nepal.”
Someone else writes, “That they restricted tv and computer use. They have a giant a** tv and are all over social media.”
Many of the adult children use social media now. Plus, the family has posted about watching football games on TV.
Another user talks about the family’s many mission trips. These trips were featured on TLC. The critic says, “That they put God first. Everything they do is self-serving. Even most of their charity was recorded and exploited.”
