According to the Hallmark synopsis, Episode 5 is called “Journey Into Light.” In this episode, a visit from the school inspector causes problems for Elizabeth (Erin Krakow, It Was Always You).
School Inspector Augustus Landis (Todd Thomson, Family Law) is back in town. Moreover, he starts questioning Elizabeth’s new accreditation to teach Angela (Vienna Leacock, Time for Us to Come Home for Christmas).
In addition, Lucas (Chris McNally, Riverdale) and Nathan (Kevin McGarry, Feeling Butterflies) decide to race. This is animal vs. machine. Who will win?
Although the race is not featured in the episode, the situation with Vienna Canfield is. How can Elizabeth and the Canfields convince the school inspector to keep Vienna in the schoolroom?

When Calls The Heart ‘Journey Into Light’ Preview Features The Canfields
In the When Calls The Heart Season 9, Episode 5 Hallmark Preview for “Journey Into Light,” we see that the Canfields are dealing with a serious situation. The School Inspector Augustus Landis intends to prevent Angela from attending school!
Here is what happens in the preview.
The scene starts with Minnie Canfield (Natasha Burnett) approaching the School Inspector, who is sitting at a table, eating. She says, “Mr. Landis.”
Landis wipes his hands on a napkin, and replies, “Mrs. Canfield.”
Next, a scene inside the Canfield house, with Minnie in the kitchen, and Cooper (Elias Leacock) around the corner, sitting on the stairs. Cooper admits, “Angela and I don’t like him.”
Next scene, Elizabeth is shown speaking to the School Inspector. “Let’s discuss Angela Canfield.”
Next, you see footage of Angela reading braille with the help of Elizabeth, and her mother alongside her. As this scene is shown, you can hear the voice of the School Inspector. “A single student can hold back an entire class.”
This situation is clearly not going in favor of Angela. Elizabeth, Minnie, and Landis are standing outside. There, Minnie makes a surprising invitation. She turns to Landis and says, “My family and I would like to have you to our home for dinner.”
Elizabeth blurts a surprised, “You would?”
Later, we see Minnie speak slowly to her husband, Joseph (Viv Leacock). She says, “I am hoping to sit across the table from a man I do not like and change his heart.”
