What Is Lifetime’s Danger Next Door About?

According to the Lifetime synopsis, Robin (Anderson) and Ben (Epstein) are out on the town celebrating. She is pregnant and going for partner at her big-city law firm. However, on the way home, they get mugged.

This is traumatizing for Robin.  She has severe anxiety and decides she needs less stress in her life. She convinces her reluctant husband Ben to move to the outer suburbs where it is safer and calmer. This new area has some of the conveniences of the suburbs, but with the feel of living in the country.

Moreover, small town life seems picture perfect. Their new house is very comfortable. They are starting to plan for their new baby. Robin’s anxiety is greatly reduced. She is back to being happy again.

The neighbors are very friendly, and Robin got a new job at a law firm. At the law firm, Robin becomes pals with Amanda (Teresa), who happens to know Robin’s friendly neighbors. Amanda enjoys telling a tale and seems to be the source of a lot of gossipy information.

Turns out, Guy (Ferry) and Sharon (Harper), the neighbors, once had a daughter. However, she died in a car accident. While Robin is not concerned about this story, she and Ben become greatly concerned about the neighbors when they just walk into their home, uninvited.

Guy gives the excuse that the front door was “open.” He had fresh melons and wanted to just pop them into the fridge. But, is that really how they live in the suburbs? Besides, Ben is “pretty sure” he locked the door.

However, even when the neighbors hang out in their garden in the middle of the night, Robin starts to freak out. But, Ben thinks she is just overreacting. Maybe being pregnant is making her more sensitive?

Should Robin trust her gut feeling or should she  just chill?
