The freshman season of 1000-Lb. Best Friends draws to a close tonight. All season long, fans enjoyed watching Vannessa, Meghan, and the rest of the girls explore their weight loss journey together.

Ultimately, it’s up to TLC to renew the show. And so far, they haven’t done that yet. But that doesn’t mean we won’t see the second season of 1000-Lb. Best Friends. We’ll just have to keep waiting for the network to make an official decision.

Vannessa Cross reveals her darkest secrets on air
Vannessa Cross seems to be one of the most beloved figures on 1000-Lb. Best Friends. Fans appear to love her larger-than-life attitude and how she manages to make the most of every given situation.
If one of the other girls is having a rough time, Vannessa is there to lift them up.
However, the TLC star has a few issues of her own that she wants to work out. In one of the recent episodes, Vannessa admitted to her therapist that she used to engage in s*x work.
“That was an extremely dark time in my life,” she on the show. “I would not have done it in any way shape or form except for the fact it was either do that or go hungry, go without clothing, go without diapers, go without rent. And while I’m thankful my circumstances have changed a lot since then, the pain really has never left me.”
This was definitely a difficult admission, but many fans expressed compassion towards Vannessa online. If 1000-Lb. Best Friends continues to show vulnerable moments and personal growth, fans might tune in for Season 2.

please renew 1000pound friends. we have all done things in our pass that we arent proud of but we have moved on. i dont hold nothing against her. bring them back.
Love to see another season. Lots to learn & love from these gals. This is what I believe TLC s/b all about. It’s called “THE LEARNING CHANNEL.” We all could take/learn a lesson from these gals. Support, understanding, comradership, love, patience, etc.
No, I think that the two new girls weren’t given a really good chance to show their talent. I would of liked to see them more. The show should have been called Vanessa. No, try a new show about the same subject.

I’ve followed the 1,000 lb. Friends all season. And yes, I would like for it to be renewed for another season.
I loved 1000 lb friends, it like all my friends getting together and they are real people not on their just for a payday and the spot light they talk about things in their past and no one is a saint.none of us is perfect and a perfect body and perfect clothes they are true to themselves…
Hello Best Friends, you all hav a best friend watching every episode. I am home bound, require care. This is for other reasons – different journey, similar struggles. You bring to the audience challenges, with the gusto of victory and you don’t accept defeat. You are there for each other. You go girls!! TLC should allow you to bring your hard work in meeting the challenges for and to share your adventures. Courage & stamina you have. Keep it! You are all admired.

1000 lbs Best Friends is as real as it gets. We need more shows like this to let people know that there are real people with real struggles out there. I do like all 4 ladies and how brave they are to put themselves out there especially Vanessa. She is feisty and fierce and doesn’t give a hoot what anyone thinks about the way she looks. She is loosing weight because of her health not because what people say or think about her. I hope there will be a season 2. It would be awesome to see the next phase of their journey.
Please bring the show back. I want to see all the girls transformation. I love the show and the ladies. Following their stories feels like family.

Please give them another season, I enjoyed the show and love Vanessa’s confidence and her bigger than life attitude, I would love to be within there friend circle. Lets not forget the 1000 pound sister’s thou, They have a lot of story yet to tell, and it is still my favorite show on TLC.
