Meri Brown Shares The Hole Left In Her Heart

Meri Has Been Publicly Struggling For A While
Meri hasn’t been secretive about the struggles in her marriage or in her life, in general. Married since 1990, she and Kody have had their fair shares of ups and downs in the public eye.
The couple was the center of a catfishing scandal in 2015. Kody said that he no longer wanted to be intimate with her after the scandal was revealed. However, they remained married. More recently, Meri has made comments about wanting to pursue happiness. Meri has said numerous times she loves her polygamy family. This seems to be the road she will be staying on, unlike other sister wives.

Christine Brown made the announcement that she was leaving Kody and the rest of the family in November 2021. Ultimately, Christine said, she had to make the decision to leave so that she could be happy. That decision shows just how very different each wife is. Meri said on the tell-all she loves her polygamy family and that is where she will stay. But this doesn’t stop her from traveling solo, which she does a lot.
Meri recently took a trip to the Oregon Coast to commemorate an anniversary that “left a hole in her heart.” Here is what she shared with followers.
What Meri Brown Shared With Her Instagram Followers
Meri took to Instagram to share how she was feeling on the anniversary of her mother’s death. The post read, “One year today. One year of missing her. One year of cherishing memories,” she reflected. “One year of figuring out life without her. One year of learning and growing. One year of looking toward my future and honoring her in my actions and ideas. One year ago today, my mom left this world and left a hole in my heart.”
Anyone who has lost someone close to them knows the feeling. Followers took to the comments to share their well-wishes with Meri.

Her post continued, “This weekend I spend honoring and remembering her, surrounded by some of my favorite people, in a beautiful space on the Oregon coast. This is a good day, a good weekend, and I’m looking forward to my progress and change in the coming year.”
There is no telling what the change she is referring to is. A lot could be changing in Meri’s world given the tension on more recent Sister Wives episodes. For now, viewers will have to wait to see what happens with Meri Brown and the rest of the family. The finale of Season 16 of Sister Wives aired on January 23, 2022. Luckily for fans, season 17 has already begun filming, but air dates have not yet been announced.
