Why Bachelor fans won’t see Colton Underwood’s wedding on TV

Colton Underwood has shared many aspects of his life with Bachelor Nation viewers. He first appeared as a suitor on The Bachelorette. After failing to find love with Becca Kufrin, the former football player headed to Bachelor in Paradise.

He also lucked out on the beachy spinoff but it led to him being named the next Bachelor. It was there that he fell in love with Cassie Randolph. While the two didn’t get engaged at the end of the season, they continued dating for almost two years until breaking up in 2020.

The breakup didn’t come without drama – Randolph filed a restraining order and police report alleging that Underwood stalked her. Both were later dropped. Colton has since said that his struggling with his sexuality led to his behavior after the split.

Despite continuing to appear on reality TV, Colton Underwood won’t allow a film crew at his wedding. Why? Simply put, he wants to keep some things private.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, he explained his reasoning. “I’ve been there, done that with my life, and there’s moments now that I’m keeping private,” Underwood said.

However, he did credit The Bachelor for his blooming romance with Jordan C. Brown. “I picked up a couple tips and applied it to my life. It’s crazy how that works,” he said after specifically mentioning learning to ask hard questions.

Will Coming Out Colton get a second season?

Colton Underwood’s coming out was partly documented on Netflix’s Coming Out Colton. The reality star veteran shared his thoughts on a second season.

He told Us Weekly that there aren’t any current plans to continue the series. Underwood cites similar reasons for keeping his wedding private.

“Having a show revolve around that is not a healthy decision to make for either of us,” he explained. The show hasn’t officially been canceled, but it seems Colton Underwood isn’t interested in continuing it.
