Did Carlin Bates Put Unborn Baby At Risk?
Did Bringing Up Bates star Carlin Bates Stewart put her unborn baby at risk recently? Some of her fans think so.
In case you didn’t know, Carlin is currently expecting her second child, a baby boy, who’s due to arrive very soon. Carlin has been sharing lots of updates throughout her pregnancy. Most recently, on her Instagram stories, she revealed that she’s three centimeters dilated. So, it won’t be too much longer until fans can “meet” the newest member of the Bates family.
While Carlin has been taking precautions to keep herself and the baby safe, fans aren’t so sure that she made the right call with a recent activity. Carlin and her husband, Evan, previously chatted about the pregnancy being high-risk. She has a blood clotting disorder that has to be managed with lots of doctor’s appointments and injections, too.
So, why do fans think Carlin Bates might have been putting her unborn baby at risk?

In a new confession on the Duggar Bates Confessions Instagram page, a fan expressed their concerns for Carlin Bates and her unborn child. The fan mentioned Carlin going rollerblading while she’s so far along in her pregnancy. The fan is especially concerned that Carlin could fall and hurt herself or the baby.
It looks like many other Bates fans are on the same page. Here’s what a few of them are saying:
- “I TOTALLY agree with this one.”
- “As someone who has had pregnancy losses I would never have done this. Innocence is bliss until something bad happens.”
An obstetrics nurse weighed in, writing, “I’m an OB nurse and I totally agree with this one. I can’t tell you how many times I saw pregnant patients in the ER for bleeding after falling off a horse , or after roller skating. Yes, everybody is different but when you are pregnant there are things you just can’t do.”
Fortunately, nothing came out about Carlin hurting herself or anything happening to her baby after she went rollerskating. So, it looks like everything went well. But fans certainly hope she stays safe going forward.
